Ditto to all the great things written about this hotel. The only new addition that has not been mentioned in reviews is the interesting documentary you can find on the TV which gives the story of how the hotel was built. If you love the hotel as much as we do, this is a must see.

Ok, where do I start.. Ok, I'll do my best to do justice to this place in my review. It's a beautiful old hotel, very nicely renovated/maintained on the inside. The staff here are nothing short of amazing, the most helpful, the warmest and friendliest folk I've ever met! The room was huge, with a real gas burning fire place...

We decided to stay at this hotel based on the TA reviews and we were not disappointed. From the early check in on a rainy November day, to the excellent lunch, dinner, snack, and things to do suggestions, the Cannery Pier Hotel made our short visit worthwhile. They also gave us a list of the ships coming up and down...

What an interesting and unique hotel built on the pier where a fish cannery once existed. We loved the history behind the hotel and the unique architecture. Our room was luxurious with a balcony literally on top of the mouth of the Columbia. Sitting outside watching the ships, the bridge, the birds, and the sea animals was mesmerizing. We loved...

All rooms have view of river and any ship traffic that may pass. Rooms are large, Complimentary wine and cheese in PM and breakfast in AM. Many nice common areas and nice spa and sauna. Easy access to trail to town or trolley when it is running.

Loved that I could lay in bed and see ships pass ...or be in the shower and see the water and ships. The view amazing. Window seat with a Pendleton throw and binoculars...and gas fireplace...and happy hour...and breakfast looking at the water...and bikes to ride the boardwalk...and friendly and helpful employees. It was just the best. And did I mention...

Staying at the Cannery Pier in Astoria is a fantastic experience. The facility is a totally beautiful hotel in every way. Located at the end of a Pier well away from traffic, the quiet is delightful – and the views! The common areas and the rooms have unsurpassed views of the Columbia River, its fascinating boat traffic, and the Astoria-Megler...

We try to go to this beautiful hotel 2-3 times a year. This place is outstanding. The rooms all afford an excellent view of the river. It is incredible to look out your window and see an ocean going freighter go by just yards away. Their complimentary breakfast and happy hour (wine and salmon and cheese appetizers) are nice. However,...

The Cannery Pier Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel located right on the mighty Columbia River. Staff could not be nicer or more accommodating. Rooms are large and come complete with huge tub, separate shower, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and even (gas) fireplace. Best of all they have their own balcony literally overlooking the river. Watch huge freighters silently slip...
