We have family in the Army who just had a baby some of our family were already staying here at this hotel for Rate reasons. I assumed it was going to be a decent place and upon first glance it was. Pool areas are nice color choices on the walls are too. However the smell in our room was terrible...

I have stayed in the other hotel/motels in the area and this is the best out of them. This was also the cheapest too. Which is a plus about 60 including tax. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean ( trust me I'm very picky about this) there is no fridge or micro but that really didn't bother our stay. The TV...

I stayed at the Golden Manor 3 weeks ago when I came to Poughkeepsie to be with my mom for her last days alive. On the morning of her death my sister and I had to leave the hotel very early to go to the nursing home where she had passed in the night. Upon our return to the hotel...

This must be the same motel where I first stayed in January, 1956. All the other motels were closed for the winter and most were snowed in. I came back later that summer under more pleasant conditions. Very nice motel at the time but obviously showing its fifty plus year old now.

Walked into the room to an extreme musty odor. We turned on the A/C and went out for a couple of hours, hoping it would dissipate. There were wasps everywhere outside the property due to nests in the wooden structure. Returned to the same strong musty odor. Wife and son experienced allergy symptoms. Went to front desk to explain we...

Have been staying at the Golden Manor for the past 9 years for the Good- Guys car show. Never disappointed in the cleanliness of the room or the hotel grounds. Trudy treats us and our group of friends very well and always tries to place us close together.

Ok, this is a great location. And it is a good value. The rooms a nice sized. The blanket was new. Reasonably clean - old sometimes has a hard time looking clean so it is hard to tell. But, if you don't like walking into a musty smelling room (even after trying in vain to air it out), having a...

An amazing value, the motel is right across the street from FDR Home and Library, and about a mile from the Culinary Institute. The Eveready Diner is half a mile away, open 24-7. Don't miss the tour ($5) and dining at the CIA (reservations required for most of the restaurants and some are closed weekends.) There are walking trails a...

1. The location was good. It was on the main highway and only a few minutes from FDR’s home. In the opposite direction, the Culinary Institute was close as well. There were restaurants and a supermarket within a 5-minute or so drive. 2. The price was very reasonable. 3. The hotel was a typical 1950’s-ish motel. The room was clean,...

“Advise the owners as for the reason of your stay......we let them know that we were there to visit The CIA prior to my son's admission, so they placed us in a quiet room. There had been several folks there for The Dutchess County Fair that they knew would be coming in late. They placed us away from these folks so that we could get some rest.”
