Friendliness by customer service at this hotel was minimal. The way check in treats you has a major effect about your feelings for the hotel. Not only was she a did but welcoming signs in the hotel lobby and elevator were negative. Morning breakfast was boring but acceptable. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. With a little more welcoming...

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your visit. I am a bit surprised to hear that you were not greeted in a friendly manner. The desk clerk that checked you in is a lovely young lady and very outgoing and helpful. As for the signs in the lobby and elevators, there really isn't anything unwelcoming about...

Great price, nothing fancy, but the ROAD NOISE ! ! ! And rolling suitcases ! Aye Aye Aye ! ! ! How's a body to get any sleep here??? And the HVAC unit is very noisy. Maybe not a factor in spring or fall, but in winter or summer, forget about sleeping ! ! ! Good luck !

I chose this hotel as an Express Deal on Priceline because it is listed as a 3-star hotel. There is nothing about the hotel that makes it 3-star, though it is a very solid 2.5 star hotel. The hotel was very clean, though unlike previous reviews, the front desk person was not particularly helpful. The breakfast was typical of a...

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your visit. We are glad to hear that you found your room to be clean and comfortable. We just upgraded the free wireless internet about 3 months ago and this is the first time we have had anyone mention an issue. The front desk would have been happy to assist...

The journey home for Christmas this year took me to Gettysburg Inn versus The Gaylord. The hotel is pleasant, the town is quaint and it was an okay experience. Entrance to the rooms is from outside, and after midnight the elevator does not go to the lobby. This gave me the feeling of being trapped; however the night clerk was...

We had a great stay at the 1863 Inn. Close to all downtown sites, spacious room, very clean, quiet, incredible breakfast. I has stayed there many years ago when it was the Holiday Inn. The newer amenities like the fireplace in the lobby add a nice touch. Only suggestion: consider adding a night light in bathrooms.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are glad that you enjoyed your visit. When we decided to drop the franchise and go independent we realized that folks may be a bit nervous. My wife, dogs and I have stayed there 3 times. Unfortunately, it was booked solid this year, 11/5-11/8. It is a great hotel, centrally located to the different battle fields, museums, food, shopping etc. The staff takes great care of their two and four-legged guests, with gifts for both upon arrival. Breakfast is great. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available...

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. We are glad that your room was clean and comfortable. We do apologize for the odor.
