I loved the tack room. It sits at the base of the giant barn they use for weddings. The barn was used as a field hospital during the Battle of Gettyburg. The tack room is stunning and has a side porch that is right next to the horse pasture. A beautiful sorrell horse a beige pony and a black miniature...

We stayed two nights in May. We chose the Tack Room which, as the name implies, was in the barn. The room (and bathroom) is huge, well-appointed, and very very comfortable. Since it's not in the main house it's quiet and very private. The staff was very friendly, very helpful. The Inn is not within walking distance of anything, but...

Went to Gettysburg to visit my daughter and decided to stay in a B&B by the battlefields. Such a great decision! The Battlefield B&B was so welcoming - staff was friendly and helpful; room was spacious, clean and very comfortable; and the breakfast was delicious and abundant. The chef also accommodated my special dietary request and it was delicious! Location...

Yes, we are an 1809 home that was the headquarters for General Wesley Merritt during the battle. So we are on the Battlefield! We happen to be privately owned, not owned by the National Park. It is a privilege to care for this property. - Florence March Innkeeper

Accommodations were wonderful! Glen sent us for a great meal. The dogs gave four paws up! My little pony was quite a show, they all seem to be familiar with dogs so you can do introductions if you like. If you are staying with your dogs we suggest the Tack Room. The breakfast was wonderful!

Yes, the Tack Room is a great room for dogs, especially if your dog is vocal while you are out of the room. There is no one to bother. Thanks for staying with us! - Florence March Innkeeper

I have visited Gettysburg numerous times and I have finally found the perfect place to stay. This wonderful home is tucked away down a private lane close to the battlefields. The property itself is a lovely farm setting. An older home with, lovely gardens, rustic barn, pond, and big inviting deck are just a few things this place has to...

Thank you for mentioning that we are dog friendly, but our inn is not "doggy." Dogs, dog owners, and guests without dogs all share very nicely here. I have to give credit to the considerate dog owners who stay with us. Thank you for reviewing our inn! - Florence March Innkeeper

The room was comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There was an interesting history lesson before breakfast each morning! This was my second stay and I will be back. I recommend Battlefield B&B to any Civil War history buff.

First visit to Gettysburg and we were so pleased with our choice of lodging. We stayed in the Tack Room - separate from the main house and a wonderful, spacious room! Breakfast was good both mornings. The very best part was the morning history talk by local living historians. Mr Vice gave an excellent history of the lead up to...

Our historians love the opportunity to share our history with our guests. You met two of our historians. We have two more who are also very informative and entertaining. We hope to see you in the future. - Florence March Innkeeper

From the moment you approach the B&B to the authentic decorations in every room, wonderful breakfasts, re enactors with new history lessons every day, there is no place better to stay if you are looking for a wonderful experience in Gettysburg. The old farm sits on the South Calvary Battlefield so you feel immersed in the history all the time
