From the moment I spoke with Janet on the phone to make my reservation. I knew I had made the right choice. She is very upbeat, warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. I felt as if I was staying with a very good friend. My room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was wonderful! Good coffee,a selection of fruit, cereal, yogurt and cakes. It...

Janet is so enthusiastic! She shared every detail of nearby spots and transportation. The room is exactly as the pictures in the website which is elegant and comfortable. I also enjoyed the breakfast there, Janet prepared hot coffee, tasty cookies, and fruits. I really had a great time there!

Spruce Hill Manor is a beautiful victorian house, 5 min away from the train station. The house and rooms are enchanting, but nothing beats the hospitality of the innkeeper, Janet. She drove us to the Eastern State Penitentiary on our arrival, and took care of every little detail for us. She even left me an amazing custom-made gift for my...

A lovely B & B with owner/host Janet who made the stay comfortable & so pleasant! She gave each guest individual attention & was so helpful in terms of sightseeing & directions. Breakfast was very delicious with home baked goodies, fruit, yogurt & coffee/teas which were accessible 24/7 (yeah!). The house itself is impressively historic with touches of the past...

It was almost an entire house for us. There is a small refrigerator on the room, WI fi as well. And the breakfast... Oh, what was that?...

Janet, our hostess, was terrific from the get-go and very sweet about my gluten-free dietary needs. She even made fresh gluten-free cornbread our second morning and it was a real treat! The room was charming and comfortable. The location was convenient to the museum area though not walkable from one to the other because of neighborhoods in between we would...

My host, Janet, was friendly, very accommodating. I was visiting my nephew and although he wasn't staying with me insisted he come for breakfast. Breakfast was generous, tasty and with lots of options. The bedroom is really a suite; spacious and quiet. Overall, quite reasonable. I took a taxi at night as was unsure of crime rate in neighborhood. Recommended

Janet the owner is extremely courteous and helpful and this charming house is a fantastic base. Unusual for a B&B the dining room is open all hours and guests can help themselves to tea and coffee, home baked cakes and other goodies. It is an easy walk to the Museum of Art (around 15 minutes) and a further 15 minutes...
