What a pleasant surprise to find this lovely old home to stay in for our night in Phila. Janet was gracious from the start, from when we booked, to providing directions, to check-in and being available our entire stay. Janet even offered to drop us at the Art Museum so we wouldn't have to drive and pay for parking. Anthony...

I was back in Philadelphia for a visit with my son at Penn and was able to get a room again at the Spruce Hill Manor. It was a wonderful experience as always. So much nicer staying at a home, built in 1879, than as a cookie cutter hotel. Everything is spotless and the breakfast is fabulous. We will be...

Spruce Hill Manor is beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. Janet, the inn keeper is charming and gracious - and a wonderful cook. The delicious homemade pastries and quiche were complimented with fresh fruit that made breakfast a special treat. Spruce Hill is a wonderful place to stay for any type of visit.

Spruce Hill is charming and comfortable. Janet is a wonderful hostess who will go out of her way to ensure your stay is perfect! We stayed in the two-room suite with a private bath and includes a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was home-cooked and delicious!

The rooms are large, all nicely decorated with mini kitchen. Bed was confortable. Breakfast was excellent with a complete cold buffet with plenty pf bio cereals, yogurt, fruits, homemade pastry and cakes, wonderful. Our host Janet...

We enjoyed an all too brief stay at the historic Spruce Hill Manor - Janet was a lovely host - very friendly and helpful and the room was just perfect. Janet treated like family and the B&B was in a terrific location - quiet yet close to the city.

I would highly recommend Spruce Hill Manor as a place to stay in Philadelphia. It is conveniently situated, the rooms are attractive and spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfasts superb. And above and beyond all of this, your host, Janet, is welcoming, helpful and well informed. She creates a very welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed meeting other guests at...

Staying at Spruce Hill Manor was like stepping into a bygone era. Oh, I'm not just speaking this incredible home with all it's 19th century appeal. I'm also speaking of the charm of its owner, Janet. She's the type of person you have no choice but to instantly like. She's warm and inviting, and as a result, her home feels...

I was in a wedding in Philly this past weekend and the whole wedding party stayed at this B&B, basically making it our own private getaway. Janet was amazing and accommodating without being overbearing. We had so much fun because of how private, unique and convenient it was to get ready for the wedding there. The rooms are BIG and...
