We really loved our stay at the Seventh street B&B. It's a 15 minute walk from Independence Square in an intresting neighbourhood south of it with loads of independant shops and small restaurants. We got the whole top floor, which would easily accomodate a family of four. The master bedroom has a king bed, the smaller bedroom has two singles.The...

This B&B offers a comfortable and large main and a smaller second bedroom. Very well located for restaurants and walking distance to historic areas. Our host Steve provided much good advice, including to leave our car in a nearby multi-storey for the duration. Highly recommended.

A great find, good value, lovely place, outfitted in a cozy, eclectic style. The upstairs room was large, clean with a very comfortable bed, well equipped with air conditioning, wifi,TV, fridge, etc. Large and variegated breakfast selection. Stephen was a convivial host, full of chatty information and suggestions. He couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, starting before my arrival...

Seventh Street is a mile south of Market Street, with a bus outside and easy walking to the historic area and concert venues. Steve the proprietor was extremely friendly and unfailingly helpful with his advice and practical assistance. It was pleasant not to pay big city prices, for a large and clean top floor room with separate but exclusive bathroom.

We stayed in the large, comfortable bedroom upstairs for 3 nights. It was an excellent location. Parking (although we bussed or walked everywhere), was close by. Steve, the host, not only was very knowledgeable about sights and history of the area, but also very willing to share his knowledge. The breakfast was abundant and varied. Both the bedroom and bathroom...

Friends from UK have asked me to write this review about this excellent B & B in a great location for visiting historic Philadelphia. The owner is extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the city. Accommodation very comfortable. Breakfasts full of variety to suit all tastes. Easy walking downtown. Great coffee house opposite called The Coffee Bean, good restaurants nearby.

This place is in a great location. We walked everywhere. The bus does stop right out front and no problem getting a cab either. It was clean and the beds were comfy. Steve provides everything plus a great selection for breakfast. Only down side is the 2 flights of steps. He did help us carry our bags up. Parking is...

We stayed here for 2 nights of a 15 night tour of the East Coast. Great location for downtown Philly with numerous bars and restaurants within walking distance. Reasonably priced car parking was available 50 yards away. Stephen was a very friendly, welcoming host and you truly felt that you were a guest in his home. Although a cooked breakfast...

Seventh Street B&B is cosy and convenient, and for Philly first-timers such as my husband and I, provided a great base. It is close to South Street, which is great for all kinds of bars and restaurants, and a short walk from Philadephia's many historical sites. More importantly, it is cosy, comfortable, good value and Steven is a warm and...

Nice large room on the top floor of the B&B. If you travel with other friends or family, a second room is also available down the hall. Because the house only rents one or two rooms, you feel that you at home in a nice quiet space.

“Third floor is fine.”

“The third floor rooms have a private bath; the second floor room doesn't. There is an ac unit in the window of the third floor master bedroom which we kept on fan as "white noise" as we are sensitive to street noise, and it worked great.”
goggirose, 29 Apr 2012 | Read review
“Second floor rooms are nice and large and you will share a large bathroom with the owner. he fully respects your privacy and lets you use it first in the morning. The third floor has two room and a private bathroom, better for families. Would not recommend if you have trouble with stairs.”
