This place is a real gem tucked away in a charming neighborhood. Our family of five stayed for 6 days and had a great experience in our very spacious and comfortable rooms. The beds were of high quality and made for restful nights. The rooms...More

I don't know if Dr. Berger wrote this after a draw in our last game of chess, or after consuming my omelet. Anyway, to improve "Silverstone's" position among Phila B&B's I should remember: Huge omelets and risky gambits!
My family stayed for 10 long days at this place and were very comfortably placed. The hosts, Yolanta and Rom are very well versed with different cultures and are a great support whenever anyone is in need.

This bed and breakfast is a gold mine if you get to stay here. The hostess is remarkable and so charming. The whole place is charming, the rooms are clean and big. It's like staying at great grandma's palace. We wanted to stay longer. The...More

You enriched our life and we learned a lot from you. It's good to be host with guests like you!
This B&B is a stone mansion with over a hundred years of history. Christmas decorations beautifully adorned the welcoming lobby of the house, and our hosts greeted us with smiles and a wonderful sense of humor. I knew we were in for a comfortable stay...More

My wife and I recently stayed at the Silverstone Bed & Breakfast in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. For those unfamiliar with the area, or the Silverstone, I can highly recommend both; and, to those familiar with Chestnut Hill but not the Victorian Era Bed & Breakfast...More

It is great that some of my guests like talking to me - a chatterbox and a history freak. My wife lost her tolerance towards my stories around 30 years ago. Now, I have a proof that the best guests prefer good discussion to cold,...More

Hello-I will be commuting from NY to Philly weekly to attend Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia. I will usually need to stay Mon and Tues. I have many food restrictions so will need kitchen privileges. Also, have a golden retriever who would like to come from time to time with my husband.
If this is not a good match for you, perhaps you would kindly point me in a more appropriate direction?

Best to ask Rom, the owner, but I don't believe they allow pets. Great place but might not meet your particular needs. The owner is very open and helpful so best call him.
