We had a 4 day weekend @ Tamarack and it was great. We stayed in the Lodge vs. the cabins for convenience and ambiance. Every morning was a continental breakfast in the Lodge common room. It was always warm and had the fireplace going. On Friday and Saturday's there was live entertainment after 7:00 so unless you were downhill skiing...

Our family had a great time in mammoth and the cabin we stayed in at tamarack was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is definitely a trip we would love to repeat. We highly recommend the tamarack lodge for anyone who is planning to visit twin lakes.

Tamarack is a historic lodge nestled in the forest across from Twin Lakes in the Lakes Basin of Mammoth. There are many reasons to come here and a few reasons not to. You come to Tamarack to get away from the Mammoth crowds, especially the partying atmosphere in town. It's relatively secluded and quiet, as Lake Mary Road is closed...

We have stayed with my husband and son 3 times at Tamarack, once in the summer and twice in the winter. Both in the older cabins and in the deluxe ones. The place is very charming, with history and character that is proudly maintained. The location is fantastic (for fishing+biking in the summer) and for proximity to eagle lodge in...

I have been coming back to Tamarack for many years because I love the cozy cabins each with it's own unique decor and style and for the wonderful cross-country skiing and beauty right outside your door. The kitchen comes in handy when you want to stay in for the night to cook, relax and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace....

Dear Denise, What a pleasure it was to visit with you and have you back at Tamarack. Thank you so much for sharing your recent experience and the good memories you've made here over the years. I was glad to see you had some good skiing and also enjoyed touring Mammoth's venues with Brent. We all truly enjoy sharing our...

We stayed in Cabin 28 which was very nicely updated and super comfortable for the two of us. David helped us carry our bags up a snow bank from the parking area, and having just arrived from sea level, it was great to have a helping hand. On our second nite, our Sprinter Camper Van needed to be plugged in...

I would have given the Tamarack five stars for the rooms alone. We spent one night in a cabin and one night in the lodge, and both made for a cozy, romantic vacation. On top of that, the cross-country skiing was top notch, and the folks at the rental center outfitted us in perfectly-fitting gear. But what really took the...

Second time this year we stayed in a cabin. Last summer and now last week in the winter. We stayed for three nights. Our cabin was snowed in and a "tunnel" was dug to the front door. a very nice employee made sure it wasn't slippery every morning. The cabin is on the simple side. Politely called "rustic". I would...

We had a fantastic time here at the lodge. View from our cabin overlooking the mountain was stunning and we were fortunate to experience full moon shiny down the hills so brightly at night. Everything is prefect, except for the in room wifi connectivity is constantly fell off and slow. I ended up using my own data network. We also...

I chose the Tamarack Lodge as my accommodations for my first try at cross country skiing. The lodge and cabins are within walking or skiing distance of the Nordic Ski center office. I was able to rent equipment and take lessons without driving anywhere else. The snow level was historical, so you did have to trudge up the hills and...
