On the surface the place is quite nice - the lobby may be bustling with passersby to check out an onsite wedding or stop in and grab ice cream from the always-popular Penn State creamery – But past the façade lies a tired hotel with dingy accommodations, a staff who is eager to help but too inept to actually provide...

Hotel Bethlehem is a classic! I just returned from an overnight junket with my elderly mother to experience Christmas City USA at the beginning of the season. Staff were very warm and welcoming, with genuine smiles all around throughout our stay. The holiday decor was exquisite throughout the entire hotel. Our package included a full, unhurried breakfast in TheTaproom, which...

The idea came to us that Bethlehem was the right choice. We looked at The Hotel Bethlehem for any holiday packages and came across one. I contacted the hotel and booked it. My wife and I arrived in town and checked in to the hotel with a surprise. We were informed that we were upgraded at no charge to the...

We came to Hotel Bethlehem specifically to enjoy all the Christmas activities in December - with reservations made back in the summer - and we were not disappointed. The entire hotel is decorated beautifully and our Star-View room provided great views of the Star of Bethlehem and the Central Moravian Church. We even got to hear musicians playing from the...

Beautiful old style with great views to be had of the Christmas City and beyond. Highly recommended for a weekend of Christmas shopping for an overnight stay. Whether for business or pleasure, the rooms will not disappoint, especially higher floors with views of Central Moravian church, South Bethlehem, and South Mountain in the background.

We proudly continue the tradition of Bethlehem hospitality that began by the Moravians who first settled here in 1741. Come experience this hospitality at our Historic Hotel Bethlehem.Restored to its original 1922 grandeur, Historic Hotel Bethlehem's floor-to-ceiling palladium windows provide dramatic views of the historic shopping district just outside our front doors. Seven large murals were painted by George Gray in 1937 to depict the history of Bethlehem. These beautiful murals currently adorn the walls of the Mural Ballroom. One of the larger murals retells the story of how Count Zinzendorf and other early settlers named the city of Bethlehem on Christmas Eve in 1741. This event took place in a crude cabin on the site now occupied by our Award winning hotel. ... more   less
