I love this hotel. It's a classic, clean, friendly. The rooms were much larger than I thought they were going to be, but you just can't beat the location and price. Right across the street from Grand Central (we parked our car at Stamford Metro North station for $10/24 hrs and took the train in), and walking distance from Rockefeller,...

Thank you for your comments and review. "Classic and Comfortable" is a great description of the Roosevelt Hotel. Our classic lobby architecture with comfortable furniture and a glass of wine is the perfect spot to people watch or relax after a day of shopping. Thanks again for your valuable feedback and we look forward to your next visit.

I stayed at The Roosevelt with my three children and found it was in a fantastic location. Times Square was only three blocks away, which could be easily walked in fifteen minutes. Grand Terminal Station is on the next block from which you can catch the subway to all parts of the city very easily. There is a fabulous café...

By today's standards the Roosevelt probably wouldn't rate 5 stars. But it does have oodles of old world charm and the rooms are more than adequate. Whilst in New York there is so much to do so staying in a hotel room for any lengthy period other than to sleep is not on. I found the reception and concierge staff...

Thank you for your comments and review. Regarding the paper cups, It is becoming more of an industry standard. Individually wrapped, card board drinking cups ensures a sterile and clean cup to drink from. We are happy to hear that your overall stay was great. Thanks again for your valuable feedback and we look forward to your next visit.

Walking into the hotel, the lobby is beautiful. We were able to store our luggage until check in without problems. The room is nice with comfortable bed. If you know it is an old hotel coming in, then you won't be surprised by the slightly worn facade. The location cannot be beat and everything is within walking distance (almost). The...

We stayed for 2 nights and I think the reviews have been very fair as it is a good hotel and very well positioned for visiting downtown Manhatten as it was just by Grand Central and just 15 minutes to Times Square. No breakfast, but that doesn't matter as there is a great café just opposite where they make your...

We stayed here for 3 nights in May. We got this through Priceline and got a great deal for a holiday weekend in NY. The room was very small, with a queen sized bed and only one night stand. There was a chair in the room, but no room for any other furniture (which makes it hard to find a...

Thank you for your comments and review. Our apologies for any issues you experienced regarding the maintenance and cleanliness of your room. All of your mentioned concerns will be immediately addressed. Yes, guest rooms in NYC tend to be on the cozy side especially compared to other major cities. Again our apologies and thank you for your valuable feedback.

I have stayed here twice, mostly because the deals are good for superior or deluxe rooms. The regular rooms are the size of shoe boxes. Don't do it. Arriving at the hotel is a demeaning experience. As you struggle to schlepp your luggage out of the cab into the street and onto the curb, the doormen watch with impassive indifference....

For some reason, the nice girl at the front desk upgraded my room to a suite. It was about the size of a regular hotel room outside of NYC. The room was clean and had everything that's expected. My only complaint is the internet that cost $15, kept going in and out. Otherwise, it was a great location and worth...

I picked the Roosevelt because there was a promotion of $153 per night. We had stayed there years ago and thought it was nice. The lobby is very nice and so is the bar, but I think we could find more value for a comparable price elsewhere. Thankfully it was a moderate summer because there was no way to adjust...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
