Great location in the city close to everything easy walking to everything, across the street from Grand Central Station. Class, history, ambience for days. Relatively quiet hotel for the city. Rooms have been renovated since my last visit, quiet nicely done.

This hotel is ok. I had trouble with TV. No WiFi. Little dated. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom small. Elevators were terrible. The location was great. Close to a lot. We did not have a fridge or microwave in our room. No coffee pot. If you're looking for amenities this isn't the place. However for a 2 night stay and just...

After reading all the negative reviews I was sceptical about this hotel however what a pleasant surprise it was! The entrance is beautiful, quick check in, friendly staff and most of all I was amazed that our rooms got cleaned, beds made and fresh towels every day! The TV and channels were fantastic, a movie and clean room to come...

Ideal to stay for somewhere within easy walking distance of 5th Avenue and Times Square. The hotel is old and seems to want to retain that type of feel. The rooms could do with some modernisation. New York is the city that never sleeps and with the noise that can be heard through the night, you may be too. Double...

This was a terrible hotel. My husband and I travel for our work 2 weeks out of the month, all over the US. This is a hotel we will never stay with again. The rooms are very dated, dingy and generally poor. Pillows were uncomfortable. Bare bones amenities. Half of the electrical outlets did not work. The elevator alarm went...

My 2 daughters and I have a tradition of bday weekend in NYC. We go every year and stay at the Roosevelt. Pricey but worth it. Safe, great bar, smart concierge and perfect location. The cost of 2 queens is typically a deal breaker at most hotels and at the Roosevelt, it's their standard rate. They also have specials. Worth...

Booked 6 months before for 6 nights and Room was really poor. On arrival they charged an extra $20USD a night for incidentals. When I questioned this they said it was for internet access and local phone calls and complimentary coffee machine. We did not have a choice we had to pay. Got into room to find mini bar was...

Let's say that the location is very very good well centered... this is a grand hotel from a grand old time, trying to come into this century. The lobby and bar are old NY, and a good thing at that. The rooms, typical of NYC are small but clean and adequate. Don't bother trying to phone anyone within fro service...

Service was great, when we went to check in our room was not available so they gave us an upgrade with the option of switching back to our original room when it would be available. Rooms were comfortable. Good walking distance from a hand full of places.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
