We were very pleased with Hotel Metro. Clean rooms, very quiet. Very comfortable beds. Great shower with hot water and great water flow. Breakfast was good and all appeared clean. I'd recommend this hotel for your next trip to New York City and we plan to return next year.

We booked the Hotel Metro for 5 nights after reading previous reviews regarding how good the location was and we weren't disappointed. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were greeted warmly by the reception staff and was told that we had been upgraded to a Premium Suite free of charge .. what a bonus ! . Our room was on...

Booked the premier room when I was there for a tradeshow in Javits Convention Center. About 20 minutes walk away. Macy's is just a stone throw distance away and the hotel is close to many major attractions liked Central Park, Soho, and Empire States Building which is just a street infront. They are nice enough to provide hot tea and...

Good value hotel with surprisingly large and well appointed rooms for New York. Staff were friendly although the concierge a little lacking in basic knowledge - he was unable to advise even an approximate transfer time to La Guardia The location is very good with Macy's on he doorstep, the Empire State just a couple of blocks away (an easy...

Wanted a really nice place. Moderate price, relatively quiet and clean within the heart of the city. Only passed through NYC in 2000 and did not know anywhere. I was coming from a conference in DC and planned to spend some days in New York, have some rest, shop and a little fun. Really enjoyed the 5 days of my...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location is fantastic as has been said in other reviews. The breakfast was very welcome with lots of fresh bread etc.Our room was on the 9th floor. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
