On 35th Street you are close to Times Square, Empire State and Metro lions to take you where ever you wish. Great for Bryant Park to mingle with the locals behind the library. The room is small but clean and all functional. The air conditioning is a little loud but so is New York! Housekeeping is good and there is...

We just returned from a great 4-day weekend in NYC. We've stayed at the Hotel Metro before and we really enjoy the hotel. Great location, always clean and updated, but the staff is mediocre, which isn't a big deal but it would be nice if they acknowledged you as you come in and out since it's such a small lobby....

Just got back from a 6 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel was in a fantastic location, just round the corner from Times Square. Rooms although small were clean with a comfy bed and big shower. Rooftop terrace fabulous with great views of Empire State Building. Helpful concierge and reception staff. Stayed here for 5 nights in September and was exactly what we wanted! Room was a good size, and a good sized bathroom! Only complaint would be that that the air con unit was really noisy! The breakfast was exactly what you needed, bagels muffins etc! We only went to the rooftop bar once, was really expensive but great backdrop...

We stayed here for 1 night before a cruise and 3 nights at the end of our holiday and were most impressed with the service. We were able to check in early and leave our bags safely so that we could explore the area. The doormen and concierge were very helpful with directions and getting taxis organised although apart from...

My husband and I spent a long weekend at this hotel two weeks ago. We found all aspects of the hotel very satisfying. We stayed off street front on the fifth floor. The bed was very comfortable. The basic full size bed and room were fine. Complimentary breakfast was above average and the staff friendly and helpful. Would have been...

The location of the Hotel Metro was great, right in the thick of it, a subway station at the end of the street, the Empire State Building on the doorstep (and dominates the view from the lovely roof bar) and surrounded by fabulous shops! I guess the proximity to Times Square and Broadway means it shouldn't be a surprise that...

We stayed at the Hotel Metro for 5 nights at the beginning of October. The location of the hotel is perfect with the Empire State building and Macy's across the street. The rooms are excellent and of a generous size compared to other hotels we've stayed in. There was a fridge in the room which was excellent for keeping the...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
