everything has been said before about this hotel and it is true. It really is in a great location and is seconds from Macys and about 10 mins from Penn station. We never used taxi's and found we were able to walk everywhere. Breakfast is a nice touch and is enough to keep you

My family of four traveled to Manhattan for Spring Break this year and we were so lucky to have found Hotel metro on Trip Advisor. There are very few hotels in this area that can accommodate a family with teens- the family suite had a double room and a separate bedroom with a

I've been to NYC about 15 times and stayed at mid priced to expensive hotels. This was a last minute holiday so we didn't have a lot of choice and we didn't want to spend too much on a hotel. The travel agents really sold this hotel and the reviews seemed good so we plumped for

This hotel was great! It was within walking distance to Time Square, Broadway and was a 30 min stroll to the Chelsea Markets. The closest subway station also got us to Central Park in no time! I would love to come back to Hotel Metro in the warmer months to take advantage of

great location . Concierge helpful as we found a comedy club we wanted to visit and they dealt with our booking and also booked us on a local cruise. Well worth doing. The hotel is central and a great spot to wind down in.

Can’t remember any surprises. Had to leave a $250 fee, but it was returned upon checkout.

The easy and cheapest option is to get on the LIRR in to Penn Station. You first of all get the train from the airport terminal to Jamaica Station and then hop on to the LIRR. We did it in November and it was quick and seemless. It's only a 10 minute walk from Penn Station to the Hotel Metro. Great hotel by the way and very well located.

I don’t know where it stops I’m afraid, we got a taxi which was quite reasonable until the ‘toll fees’ were added on, the return journey, arranged by the hotel was much cheaper. It will be best if you get a fixed-price ride in advance. The hotel might be able to advise.

If there was a bedroom tax, it was inclusive on our bill. We did pay a deposit on our credit card, but it was refunded, so no problem there for us.
