I have recently returned from a 4 night stay at Hotel Metro the hotel was clean but the noise on a night time was horrendous, car horns beeping, sirens from emergency services and rowdy people coming out of the nearby irish pubs. I must say I found the doormen and housekeeping staff nothing but polite professional and every so helpful.... More

Just returned from 4 day stay. Location was great. Our room was freezing cold on arrival (8th floor) with draught from window and noisy. Changed to 12th floor - room was cold but soon warmed up with the heater on. Ear plugs drowned out sound of sirens on road below! Bathroom was very cramped. Staff appeared friendly - however upon... This is the second time my Wife and myself have stayed at the Metro and again it was first class from the friendliness of all the staff to the cleanliness of the room, the included breakfast and not forgetting the free wine tasting. An ideal location as well. Honestly doesn't get any better.

The metro has a great location in midtown very clost to Macy's and Empire State. Decor is stylish (ar deco) in keeping with location, staff friendly and helpful, room excellent and very clean. The roof terrace has an amazing view of Empire State, worth a look even in early November. Free wine on offer each evening a great bonus.

Modern. Clean. Friendly service. All you need in a hotel in NY. You won't be spending much time in your room anyway. Brilliant breakfast too! Simple yet enough choice to start your day. Never had any complaints or need to speak to staff. Great location as well. We had a great stay.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
