#14 of 514 hotels in New York City
Travellers' Choice
The Evelyn Hotel blends timeless style and avant-garde glam for an authentically New York City hotel experience. Set in the NoMad neighborhood, formerly historic Tin Pan Alley - the city's Jazz Age music epicenter – the hotel features a recently enhanced lobby experience and three exceptional dining concepts by Chef Jonathan Benno. Feel at home in beautifully remodeled accommodations with luxurious comforts like Frette linens, bath amenities by Five Wits and bathrooms with heated floors and custom vanities with marble sinks. Vintage touches including musically-inspired accents and antique-style furnishings create a nostalgic experience in the heart of Manhattan's NoMad district, walking distance to Midtown, Union Square, NYU and Greenwich Village.

Came here for a one night birthday celebration and it was very pleasant. Check-in was easy, location is very convenient for grabbing food and drink, the room was quiet and a decent size relative to NYC hotels and the included breakfast was fine. Special shout out to De'Marcus from the front desk who left a box of cookies from the patisserie downstairs to help us in our celebrations.

Richard K, Thank you for your glowing review! 2020 was quite the year, but grateful for the small things like Leonelli's coffee and pastries to make life a little sweeter. We can't wait to have you back in our care the next time you're in the New York City area! -De'Marcus

The Evelyn is a boutique hotel in a great NYC location for walking. We chose it for location and wasn’t disappointed. However, our standard Queen room was the typical, laughably NYC closet size and beyond claustro for my husband and I given the reason for our trip (a sudden funeral). The 1 working elevator for the 12th floor during a pandemic didn’t help. So we would have left after our short stay and thought: no thank you. However, De’Marcus of Client Relations was a critical source of warmth and empathy. He went out of his way to get us out of that “room” into a gorgeous suite and it made all the difference. Not so much the upgrade, but that someone on staff “saw” us and cared enough to make it better. In sum: cute, hip hotel located in a newly designated gem of an area “Nomad,” great for walking and exploring. Spend up on a bigger room if u can. Expect to use the stairs (which is great for steps but terrible if you’re in a rush with luggage). But most importantly, an excellent staff experience from someone who cares can make up for anything and everything. Thank you De’Marcus. We’re lucky you were there and the Evelyn is lucky to have you!

The personal of front desk it’s very nice and helpful. The hotel’s maintained COVID-19 restrictions very well. We are feeling extremely safe. Every areas are clean. The area it’s to close for restaurants, bars museums and the Empire State Building. I recommend without restrictions.

Loved this hotel! The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They were very welcoming and offered a ton of recommendations for restaurants and things to do nearby. The rooms were very clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed. The location in NoMad was great with easy access to the subway, beautiful parks and great restaurants in the area. A huge plus was the breakfast voucher including a selection of coffee and breakfast items. The lobby and hotel overall was beautiful and clean! I highly recommend the Evelyn for your stay in NYC. We will be back!
