I know this is NYC but it was still difficult to navigate parking. The doormen are not very helpful. And to be frank not very nice either. The rooms were a little small and the bathrooms although updated still feel like I was in the 1960's. Even the elevators are small. The beds were comfortable but like any old hotel...

I was in New York for a business meeting and my host booked me into this hotel. The staff is friendly and efficient and the room, while not huge, was well decorated and very comfortable. I really appreciated the excellent water pressure in the shower. Two things would have made it perfect: a coffee maker in the room and a...

This beautiful Upper West Side hotel sits on the corner of Wet 79th Street. The entrance was attended by very helpful and supportive bell staff. The reception area, while not large, was beautifully appointed. Upon check-in, I was given an upgrade to a suite with two queen beds and a separate livinng area with flat screen TV, desk and chair,...

I have to say that I am beyond impressed. I called and spoke to Jemma - she epitomizes what the hospitality business should be: kind, knowledgeable and so easily helpful. Lucky for us she was at the desk when we were checking in. Again, beyond helpful....even running after me when I forgot my ID card. There was some confusion at...

It was my first time in New York and the hotel was the perfect choice. Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. When I return to New York, I plan to stay there. The location was spot on, and I felt very safe. It was clean and absolutely stunning. Can't wait to go back!

Arrived an hour early for check in thinking that since we requested a room on an upper level (noise) that we would need to wait. Were given a room on the 12th floor ( there is only a penthouse meeting space above it) immediately from a very helpful desk coordinator. Everyone on the hotel staff was similarly friendly and helpful....

I like this area, maybe because we used to live on this block, and the Lucerne makes it feel like an apartment and not a hotel. The room was clean and for the most part quiet, we did have some eleveator noise that was uncomfortable to sleep with. Good size closet, the queen room is small, even for NYC, the...

The check in staff were great, very helpful and pleasant. The room was bigger than we thought, plus it had tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was quite big too. I liked having a door man, it was easy to get a cab, or walk to the train. The park was a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of bars and restaurants...
