We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and we were really happy because we weren't sure what to expect on our budget. I really struggled to find a hotel within our price range and was delighted when i found this one. Good things about hotel were price, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, good shower and very comfortable beds. The...

We have taken 5 or 6 trips to NYC over the last 15 years, and always stay at this hotel. Considering the price, it is a gem. The rooms are not fancy, however, they are a decent size and they are neat and clean. Parking is FREE and there is a swimming pool (outdoor)--2 things that are not common in...

I stayed at this hotel 1 year ago and when I decided to travel to Manhatten this year, I booked the Travel Inn again. You get everything what you need: A big and clean room and a bathroom at a good location. For New York the price is fair. Last year I had an room to the street, which was...

After sifting through many reviews of this property, we decided to book this hotel for two nights, Sept 25-26. We were not disappointed. The room and bathroom were spotless, the beds were quite comfortable, and we were given a room overlooking the pool, as requested. We had booked well in advance of our stay. The A/C worked fine. Immediately next...

We booked online direct with the hotel and got an excellent rate compared to everything else availible at the time we were there. The location is fine, just 4 blocks from Times Square. We felt very safe compared to e.g. San Francisco where we stayed last year. The rooms are standard motel type rooms but clean and the bathroom was...

This hotel gives you exactly what you are looking for in NYC. Location is 10 minute walk to Times Square, easy access from when you drive in, secure garage with parking included in the price, clean clean rooms (big too), however the bathroom is small, and very safe. We had room 431 which had 2 double beds and were erally...

I had to come in NYC in September 2006 and I was late to make a reservation. Given my budget the Travel Inn was the only choice with available room and not to far from the office. I must say this hotel was a pretty good surprise. The location is excellent, close to time square or Grand Central. The room...

We stayed at the Hotel from Sept 23-28, the Hotel is located in a good location. The price was fairly resonable considering you're on 42nd street. The subway to get to all the different attractions is 2 blocks away. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. When I got to the hotel I left my folder in the cab which...

This place stinks!! you get the idea how bad it is when you first check in by reading the sign that say "no visitors after 10 pm". The front desk staff, especially one named EJ, are unhelpful, rude and basically a pain. I have never been asked to pay 1.50 for a lost plastic key to be remade. In addition,...

I stayed for three nights at this hotel. The location was excellent as it is on 43rd street but a lot of undesirables were hanging around and I did not feel safe at night. The entrance was through a car garage which was a bit strange. The bathroom was old and run down and the plumbing left a lot to...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
