The lobby/public area is impressive but as there is no free wifi in the rooms only in the public area it is very busy. The room I had 1317 was run down. It was classed as superior. It shouldn't have been. I think three star rating more realistic. The staff need to attend charm school. Luckily we were out most...

I recently stayed at the Waldorf for business. It is impossible to find better service and hospitality expertise, and the facility is stunning and classic. However, I was a bit disappointed with the room. I was upgraded from my room preference to a "suite" on the top floor. With four windows around a corner, I expected a better view. The...

After much deliberation, I decided to push the boat out moneywise when visitng NY and stay at the Waldorf. The staff are very helpful and polite. The location of the hotel is superb with Times Square, Rockerfeller Centre and Central Park no more than a ten minute walk. Sadly, these were the only positive points. To check in at reception...

Was here overnight on business. Great location and vintage building. Service is the Waldorf service we are accustomed to, great. Rooms were a little "tired" but that comes along with vintage NYC buildings. Bar downstairs has a nice vibe and friendly staff.

A room in the Lexington Avenue side. For a premium hotel this has the feeling of being underinvested. Corridors are tired and dreary. Rooms are old fashioned but not in a good way. The lobby remains splendid but long queues to check in are a regular feature. One fellow guest at the conference was covered by brown water(don't ask) coming...

The staff here is very good. It is in a great location in midtown. The problem is you are not getting a luxury experience. All the guests have to use valet parking service. Do not leave your valuable or even coins. When I got back my car, I found out about hundreds of my quarters were stolen. I noticed the accident to the desk. No Answer!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
