Hotel is closing March 1 so things are starting to close down. Stores have out of business signs, no munchies in the bar, mini bar not filled, staff is feeling blue. I have been there for almost a year so I love it but it is closing

I have stayed here many times and love this hotel. However they are closing and don't care any longer. Very sad to see it go. The location is great, the rooms are a nice sized and it is a NYC icon that is no more.

As a 5 star hotel I expected too much on this hotel, since its my first time to visit NYC i was very excited even just on a thought that i will stay at Waldorf which is one of the famous landmarks in NYC but we encountered arrogant staffs which is not very acceptable on this kind of Hotel.

We called in on the 2nd January just for a coffee to get out of the rain we were directed to bar/restaurant where very condensing staff served us with two cups of very average coffee for just 22 dollars I then went to the rest room what a state had to try 4 toilets before I could find a cleaning...

It was cold outside and we were tired, so we decided to try room service for lunch. When I dialed the operator knew who I was and in which room, took the order, and said it would be there in about 35 minutes. In 20 minutes there was a tap at the door. To our amazement in whooshed a handsome...

Very enjoyable experience! Eye wateringly expensive Bull And Bear her restaurant. Old charm rooms. Faultless service fabalous breakfasts and sensationally well located. Such a shame it has been bought by Chinese investment company and will be closed for three years for refurbishment it will have many less rooms when it reopens. Great weekend.

If you book a room at the Waldorf Astoria in NY, be aware that you will NOT be able to open any window in your room. Not even by an inch. They are completely sealed. This is really annoying as the room was too hot at times, and we could not get any breeze of fresh air in. I did...

Dear internetcoco, We appreciate you choosing to stay with us as your host during your recent trip to New York City. Your mention of the heating and cooling units touched on an area we are pushing on rapidly, as temperature control is a core element of a great stay. Our windows do indeed open, however, we always recommend one of...

The hotel is in the middle of an upgrade (which isn't a disturbance), but it might be nice to stay in one of the updated rooms as the hotel needs it. The Waldorf is one of New York's oldest original hotels and it's starting to feel like it inside. It's still beautiful though!!

My wife & I have stayed in this iconic hotel twice, the first time in 2010 (wedding trip) and again in 2013. But after our experience in another hotel on our latest visit to NYC we regret not returning to the W=A. Yes, there are one or two areas where the Waldorf was showing signs of tiredness, none of which...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
