Stayed for 5 days at the Royalton Hotel and location is for sure one of their best arguments, between 5th and 6th av., close to Times Square, the Theatre district and a few blocks to the central Park. Rooms were clean and decently sized, quiet for this part of the city and the bathroom was big. Free wifi worked perfectly...

I am delighted that you enjoyed our central location, clean, quiet and generously sized rooms. I do apologize that the breakfast charging was not explained to you more thoroughly. Breakfast inclusive rates offer an inclusion of Continental breakfast, should you wish to add to the Continental selection with items from the kitchen there is an additional charge. I am sorry...

Great, modern hotel in a fantastic location. Reception is friendly. However, the hotel could provide a more comfy extra bed, all they offered was a flimsy blow up bed. Great, spacious rooms. A good crash pad.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. Perfect stay for a perfect trip. Attention to detail was amazing...on the morning of my birthday i was woken to a knock on the door..complimentary friut bowl and bottle of champagne with a card reading "Happy Birthday from all at The Royalton". Little touches like this made the hotel as spectacular as it is....

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in July. I had booked the hotel as a friend had recently stayed and spoke well of the location so I thought give it a go. The location is the best thing about the hotel and is a 5 minute walk to times square and less to Fifth Avenue. Upon arrival we...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. While we are very proud of our iconic and unique design we do appreciate that it is not to everyone’s taste and I am sorry that you did not enjoy the overall style of the hotel. I am also sorry that you did not like room 1602, while...

Had a brilliant stay at this hotel with my family. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A bulb went in our bedroom and they fixed it that day, despite us saying there was no rush. I would highly recommend this hotel, however, it is very dark. The lobby and bar area are lighted extremely dimly, which I could imagine...

I really liked this hotel. We came on a weekend to see a show and just go out to eat and have general fun. The location is very good, easy to walk to subway stations, Times Square, Hells Kitchen, 5th Ave, etc. Best surprise is the noise level is very low. We stayed on the 44th street side, not sure...

The hotel was truly boutique which added to the ambience of bing in the Big Apple and location was ideal. I have stayed at the Royalton on numerous occasions while in New York city for pleasure and have always been impressed favorably. And the large...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Morgans commissioned Roman Williams, to re-create Royalton's legendary lobby. The design - simultaneously sophisticated and complex - juxtaposes an icy cast-glass vestibule and brass furnishings with soft suede upholstery, thick leather walls and hide-covered chairs to create a dark, sexy and luxurious space. Design and architectural details include a mammoth floor-to-ceiling hand forged cast-bronze fireplace, a twenty-foot screen that was once part of the facade of a building in France and hand-upholstered leather walls. ... more   less
