Stayed here for 5 nights over thanksgiving, Superb location just a 5 minute(slow) walk from Grand Central Station. 24 hour convenience store just over the road and entrance to Metro next to this, any journey only $2.75 with a Metro card that you can top up at any time. Hotel staff very welcoming and my son was given free wifi... More

I've stayed at The Westin Grand Central several times and each time has been better than the time before. It's comfortable, relaxing and in walking distance to restaurants, museums (the MOMA), and the theater district. The staff was pleasant and helpful in recommending places to eat. After a day walking around the city, it's a nice place to relax, watch... More

So I stopped in to the lobby bar for a glass of Stella yesterday after a late afternoon business meeting. Heres what happened. I sit down at the bar. Wait 3-4 minutes. A slender guy with black hornrim glasses walks by behind the bar and as he passes by me he throws down what turned out to be a menu... More

Hotel is very well situated and we had a room with the most amazing view!! We didn't eat in the hotel but we did have a few drinks in the bar. Drinks were a tad pricey but it is NYC. Times Square is no more than 10 minutes away on foot and in between is Grand Central. 20 mins to... More

The location can't be beat but I won't return until the construction on 42nd street is completed or the Westin soundproofs its windows. All night long we heard the beep of a machine in reverse. When we complained the next morning, we were advised to ask for a high floor. Oddly, high floor is part of my profile, but floor... More

Just a few blocks from 5th avenue. A little far from most of the most trendy neighborhoods. Kudos to Hector Isaza for his great service. I always looked to him for help! Clean rooms. Easy access to subway and taxi service.

This was our third stay at this hotel. We were treated like old friends at check in. We were given free drinks, breakfast for one of the mornings and an upgrade to a high floor. The room was small with two double beds, dresser and a desk. The bathroom was nice, recently updated. The restaurant near the entrance was a... More

Well situated, welcoming clean and tidy, with a knowledgable and helpful concierge. In-room facilities have lessend over the years, no dressing gowns, slippers etc., but still a comfortable night's sleep. Well situated for Times Sq., Bryant Park, Grand Central, 5th Avenue etc. Will continue staying there.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
