We just had one of the best city hotel experiences this past weekend. The rooms were large and well-appointed: the staff was friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a pleasant one; and the location was perfect. We would like to commend and thank Joseph at the front desk and Ney, in particular,...

The best hotel I've ever stayed in. Beautiful room, beautiful lobby, fantastic location and superb customer service from all the staff. A soon as you walk into the hotel you feel like you are in a special place. I'll be staying here again. No hesitation.

Excellent place to stay if you want an elegant and quiet hotel in a great location in Midtown Manhattan! Close to theater, shopping, subway, museums, Central Park, 30 Rock, etc... Great location and a real hidden jewel in the city.

Best thing about this hotel are the concierge, James, who is incredibly knowledgeable about New York and also extremely helpful and the comfort of the rooms, in particular the beds. Overall, a very good place to stay and happens to be opposite the best French restaurant in New York. You have to book way in advance but if you are...

I love New York, but like London and Paris you just know you are going to get your pants pulled down on the hotel prices. I've done it all ways over the years - budget (scared for my life), aparthotel (the Atrium near Bleeker was ok), Hilton (work paid - was ok), but the michelangelo hit a sweet spot. Its...

My husband and I spent a week in this hotel and it truly became home. We booked a junior suite and they upgraded us to a one bedroom suite with two bathrooms - nice touch! So relaxing to come here between adventures each day. The coffee, orange juice, sweet rolls, and apples they offer in the a.m. at no charge...

First of all we looked for a good location, and on this hotel we got it all: near all turistattractions, good service, large, luxurious and clean rooms. I would love to have free wi-fi in the room, but it was only available in the lobby.

Second stay in a couple years, mostly for business both times. Pros - location in midtown (8 blocks to Central Park, close to theater district); clean, large rooms for NYC, quiet, comfortable bed, large-ish bathroom. Decent bar with Bernie the bartender. Cons - staff is virtually unmemorable except concierge was helpful; door men don't help with doors or luggage despite...

The hotel is in a fabulous location with easy walking distance to times square. The bedroom was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was equally as lovely with a large bath, sadly the plug did not work properly so it was impossible to fill. The downside of the room was that we faced a brick wall so the...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
