Have been to NYC several times, and this is my favorite hotel so far. The staff was friendly, and the room comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, with subway stops nearby, good restaurants, Central Park, and shopping all within walking distance. Not the least expensive place, but far from the most expensive. I will return.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at The Michelangelo. We visit NY each year for Thanksgiving and this was our first stay of many here. I really wanted to thank the sweet lady at the front desk and the gentlemen in the lobby for all of their concern and help when I injured my ankle late one evening....

After staying at many hotels around New York, we stayed here for our first time this past weekend. We will never stay at any other place than the Michelangelo. The location is amazing. The rooms are such a nice, comfortable size. The entire staff is amazing!!! Everyone from the front desk, doorman and especially the bartenders in the bar/restaurant area....

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in November. Very conveniently situated in mid-Manhattan, and lovely comfortable room. Very happy with our choice of hotel until we got home and checked the bill, only to realise a number of mistakes which I am still waiting to have resolved, despite 3 emails to the hotel all of which have gone unanswered....

I enjoyed out stay here. It was a small boutique hotel. Our room was a nice size which surprised me after reading that many hotels in the NYC had small rooms. The location of this hotel is PERFECT!!!! Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very luxurious and comfortable, and provided everything necessary for your stay. The hotel is in a great location, which is in walking distance of the many attractions that bring most people to New York. The staff was pleasant, helpful, and inviting. The concierge is very knowledgeable, and was able to get...

This small, well run facility provides a great logistical base from which to enjoy the highlights of New York City. The hotel provides a friendly, personal ambience and the staff reinforce the culture by providing skilled, quality services with a personal touch. We like the draw of a smaller facility which allows the visitor to feel appreciated and not being...

Big stain in living room under table. Told me to chose the better internet and I wouldnt be charged the $20/day. Was charged anyway. Elevators were fast and we rarely waited more than a minute. Location is good. They offer coupon for free drinks, but, like the internet, seemed like a scam so we didnt use. Free coffee in the...

Very good location. Clean and quiet. Great to rest and visit the city. The service is correct. It could improve the breakfast service, since to be able to have breakfast well you have to leave outside the hotel. The room is spacious and very comfortable, but very dark. Always with artificial light on.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
