We stayed here 24th - 30th March 2007. Considering the price paid, we were very satisfied. The location is great - just off Times Sq with theatres and city tour bus trips on the doorstep. Breakfast in the Olympic Diner around the corner was great - we used it every day. We were on the top floor (17) and refurbishment...

We stayed for 4 nights in the Belvedere in January 2007. Based on all the previous reviews we have expected a good hotel. But certainly the Belvedere is really a disappointment. When we made the booking of the room we asked for a room on one of the upper floors and of course we got a room directly next to...

we stayed in the Belvedere Hotel for 6 days in the beginning of April, New York is fantastic - the Belvedere is OK. the room was fine, if a little on the hot side although there was a cold snap while we were there so didn't mind too much. the main problem we had was that when we arrived at...

This was our first trip to New York City and therefore were slightly taken aback by the wealth of hotels on offer. After much research we settled on The Belvedere Hotel and what a great choice we made. Firstly the location is perfect just two blocks from Times Square, in just five minutes you are in the heart of New...

I agree with the last few reviews. This hotel is close to everything, the staff is knowledgeable and the rooms were perfect for a couple. My wife and daughter stayed here last year, so we gave it a second try. It again served our every need. It is only a few blocks to Times Square, trains and the theaters. Plenty...

This was our second trip to NYC and we have stayed at the Belvedere both times. The location, particularly in relation to theaters & Times Square is great. The staff was helpful and the rooms were as advertized. The only negative we have is that for some reason the elevators always are a problem. We were on the 8th floor...

We visited New York for four nights in March 07. I was really struggling to find a hotel in our price range which had good reviews on this site. Then I came across the Belvedere and I'm so glad I did! The hotel is in an excellent location; just a couple of minutes walk from Broadway and about a ten...

I'm so happy we stayed at the Belvedere for our first stay in New-York. Everything was perfect. We booked an executive room, those rooms have just been refurbished and the mattress /pillows was very comfortable + you have plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent and you had enough choice (bread, meat, eggs, fruits, yoghurt, bagels, pancakes, ...) But the most...

We wanted to stay in New York for two nights. We are a family of four with two young children (8 and 3) and so wanted something in a central location where we could have one clean room! This did not disappoint. The Belvedere is ideally situated just 5 mins walk from Times Square and 5 mins from the New...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
