I stayed for one night. Absolutely loved this hotel. Great location. Close enough to walk to Times Square in five to ten minutes. The room was small but very lovely and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The décor was excellent and included key amenities such as a ipod/iphone docking station. The hotel also came with free Wi-Fi. The hotel...

Small rooms but the hotel is upscale all around. We also enjoyed breakfast and the Starbucks coffee in the lobby. Historic and quaint place. The staff is well trained and friendly. Will check pricing and love to stay here again on next visit to NYC.

Stayed here 4 nights and found it to be satisfactory. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean. The restaurant and bar are "New York" pricey but the lounge has a great atmosphere. The location is great for visiting Times Square, Top of the Rock and other attractions. Would definitely stay here again if we can find the right deal.

Charming hotel steps from Times Square. The rooms are tiny but so are the majority of hotel rooms in NYC. The hotel has a historical, cozy, and luxurious feel to it; they have kept it up-to-date but without losing its character...I loved how I "felt" staying here! My favorite part was being greeted by "Matilda" the Algonquin cat..so cute, she...

My Husband and I stay at the Algonquin every year for our Wedding Anniversary. It's one of our favorite places hands down. It's located in the heart of Midtown. From the moment you step into the Algonquin it's non stop Customer Service. My 2 favorite Doorman/Bell man are Marcos and Peter. They are always smiling and inviting. They will go...

I was told this hotel is the oldest operating hotel in New York. That's nice. Location is central. Small but cozy feeling when you come in. Attentive staff. Elevators halls rooms small. Bathrooms tiny- enough room to stand and turn around. That's it. But furnishings and decor in room is ok. Bed very comfortable but they use a duvet (...

Stayed here one night for business. There is an electric car charging station across the street. Room was small but clean and convenient, decorated nicely. Its an old hotel apparently but you couldn't tell. Greeters were very nice.

I spent the weekend here with my Son and his girlfriend. I am Platinum with Marriott so I was able to use Marriott points for one of the rooms. The hotel is beautiful and very elegant. Very small rooms - but well appointed. The location is great - walking distance to the subway and near Times Square. I have stayed...

An amazing historical property. Home of the Algonquin RoundTable in the 1920s. Also the hotel that put Anthony Melchiorri of Hotel Impossible on the map. Great service, but they couldn't seat all the folks in the hotel for breakfast because they didn't have enough room. Rooms are small, but nice feel and great public rooms.

This hotel is in a wonderful location if you are going to broadway shows & frequenting time square. We walked everywhere. The hotel rooms are very well appointed, but keep in mind they are small: a boutique hotel right? Everyone was very attentive to our needs and quick to offer assistance. There are many restaurants nearby that are great. The...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
