We celebrated a milestone birthday with 5 family members in New York, we booked a 2 bedroom apartment in The Stewart, it was fantastic. Had its own kitchen and all the bedrooms had ensuites with an additional bathroom. We were on the 24th floor and had amazing views of the water and surrounding skyline. We spent 2 nights midweek at the Stewart Hotel for a last minute family getaway. Stewart Hotel is in mid town, convenient to major NYC attractions Times Square, Empire State Building, Central Park, etc. Jenny at the front desk made us feel like regulars and offered a complimentary upgrade to a spacious suite on the top floor with incredible views!!!...

The Stewart Hotel is conveniently located by Penn Station and the area where the busses to NY stop. The staff was very nice. We were there for my birthday weekend and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. The room was reasonably sized for NY. The bathroom was a little smallish. Everything was clean. We had a pleasant stay.

What a lovely welcome when we arrived. Quick and very professional check in. All the staff here were fantastic with a can do will do attitude and very friendly. Our room was nice clean and big enough for what we wanted. From the hotel we walked everywhere it is so handle for Penn station just over the road and Macy's...

Don't be fooled by the flashy website - the Stewart Hotel is a basic, budget hotel masquerading as something it doesn't quite achieve. A fairly decent size room is spoiled by the tiniest of windows, an uncomfortable bed and cheap fixtures and fittings. The cleaning is poor at best - dirty marks on bedding, walls and the bathroom. Also, don't...

The Stewart Hotel is clean, and the staff is accommodating. We were offered water bottles every day. The room was clean and spacious. We checked in with Diesel, and he was very welcoming and told us about some places to visit. He even checked us in several hours early because our plane got in in the morning for no additional...

My husband and I have been staying here for the last 15 years through three name changes and one complete renovation. It is centrally located, right across 7th Avenue from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. It is a mid-priced hotel with very functional rooms, not super fancy, but comfortable and roomy. The staff is outstanding, from Van the doorman,...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
