Positives were decent rooms if a bit small, clean hotel and great location, free computers/printing for boarding passes. Concierge were lovely, always happy to help and happy for a chat. Negatives were the reception staff were touch and go, some really nice and others very sharp. We had to wait hours to get a key to one of our rooms,...

We stayed at the Park Central Hotel in Feb '17. All was fine during the week. Room and bathroom were good, nice bar, decent staff. No restaurant - but you're in New York...so not the end of the world. Close to Central Park (obviously) and in a great position to see a lot of Manhattan Island. So what's the problem????...

Good rooms tho not at all roomy. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nicely located just south of Central Park. Lots of groups over the weekend because of its proximity to Carnegie Hall. But hotel works well with this.

Amazing location, rooms were very spacious and bathroom very cleaned. Myself and a friend stayed for 10nights and it was always lovely to come back to a clean room. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants ease! Only downside is there is not many elevators and sometimes had to wait a while but not too long. Also after a...

Hotel was booked by production company for my wife and her School group for a performance at Carnegie Hall. Basic rooms in hotel. Good bed and clean. No services at the hotel other than a bar. When the group practicred at hotel before concert hotel could not provide water for performers 3 hour rehearsal. Big negative. On 4th day of...

Staff at reception on arrival were at best frosty. There are no facilities for food or drinks except a very overpriced kiosk in lobby. Dust all over skirting boards, a socket hanging out the wall and dirty carpets greeted us in our room. The staff, in fairness, tried to help by moving us but the other rooms were equally as...

Amazing location, 5 minute walk to Central Park and 10 minute walk to Times Square. Rooms were actually spacious for downtown Manhattan, clean as well and the luggage checking before and after check in/out is very handy. Only downside to the hotel is there is very few elevators and they are slow but other then that I would highly recommend...

We stayed for 13 nights in January/Feb 2017. We had a low rise corner room which is more expensive but worth it. The hotel appears to have been extensively renovated since our last visit in 2011 and looks great. The location opposite Carnegie Hall and near to Central Park and walking distance to Times Square MOMA and Broadway shows is...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
