In the heart of the Theatre district. Hotel with kiosk, large lounge and own bistro and bar. Rooms are very small, standard around 3x3 meters. Hardly possible to move, nor have a lot of luggage. Good and spacious bathroom. Climate in room uncomfortable: hot, thick air due to lack of fresh air in spite of air conditioning being an amenity....

We stayed here as part of our USA family holiday from UK. We spent 4 day's staying at the Paramount. We looked at many pictures of the hotel beforehand and were really looking forward to out visit. When we arrived the lobby was very clean and welcoming. Our room on the otherhand was no where near as nice as the...

Location is absolutely everything in New York and this hotel is simply perfect just walk to end of block and you are literally on Time Square (2mins max) the Lunt Theatre for Charlie & Choc Factory is a few steps away. The hotel has lovely but dark communal lounge/bar etc that smells amazing (think Hollister UK shops lol) the rooms...

We booked through booking.com for our stay at paramount. We were a little apprehensive as to what to expect as it was pretty cheap and we had seen bad reviews. Rooms were basic but clean and made up every day, and a great Central location. Staff were very helpful also. If you are wanting to do New York on a...

The location could not be better. Perfect in the midst of everything. Just a couple of minutes walk from Times square. Our rooms were small, the bathroom minimal, and the styling was quite boring. But in a city as NYC, who wants to sit in a hotel room?

We couldn't have asked for a better location in terms of things to do and accessibility to the subway. It is literally right next to times square where there are plenty of shops and bars. There are several subway stations within walking distance and theatre's practically on the doorstep. There was a nice little pizza shop next door and a...

The Paramount has a terrific central location in Manhattan, right in the theatre district, which is wonderful. The lobby is beautiful. The front desk was actually very helpful. However the hallways are dingy and smell. The room was clean and comfortable but tiny. I was glad that I was staying only 1 night with a friend. All that said, if...

Literally a stones through to the hustle and bustle of Times Square, this hotel is an absolute FIND. Before I went to New York everyone was telling me how I wouldn't be able to sleep because of the traffic noise - not the case with the lovely quiet room I had at the Paramount. All of the staff were lovely,...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
