If you like to be in the center of everything, definitively, this is the best place to stay. Theaters, restaurantes, shops, subway, everything at walking distance. But take into account the noise and traffic. It's even dificult to walk in the área.. Rooms are fine, size is very good compared to others NY hotels, 2 beds + sofá with enough... More

Hotel is in the heart of Times Square and the Theater district, so very convenient if your main purpose is seeing shows, or generally going to anything in midtown. It is a very busy location, and they do host a number of trade shows in the lower level conference / ballrooms, so be prepared to encounter a LOT of people.... More

Been to a conference at the Marriott Marquis New York. I think that this is the worst Hotel I've been in the recent years and that this Hotel is hurting the Marriott brand. The Elevators do NOT work, you have to think twice before going back to your room. There is NO reception at the rooms. The Air Conditioners are... More

Hold on to your children, and don't let go. This place is amazingly busy; if you can find a busier, more terrifying hotel lobby in New York, let me know, (so I can avoid it). This Marriott is so stunningly indifferent to anyone that you really need to just approach it like a campout in an expensive refugee camp. You... More

We spent 4 nights here recently and even with all of the construction going on inside and outside of the building, it was clean, it was quiet and it was efficient. This is a great location you are near all of the shows!! It is a nice walk to Rockefeller Center, or Hell's Kitchen, you can even hoof it to... More

The location was amazing and the rooms were great, that was definitely the best feature in this hotel, but you'd expect that with the general pricing of the Marriott. We were very comfortable, but did experience some drawbacks: - I did not find the staff particularly helpful. - In such a big hotel, an elevator trip to your room or... More

I brought my son (12) and his friend (13) for 3 nights. Paid extra for Times Square view, view was awesome! Room was nice and clean but rugs were all buckled, weird after it just being renovated 2 years ago. Location was superb, the view restaurant was nice but very expensive for buffet and very little selection. But still do... More

a couple of nights stay for the first time , service is average , staff are all over the place and look uninterested probably because the hotel is wide open to the public so its confusing when sitting in the lobby area but it does have free wifi. room was beautiful and spacious. Location was the best...walk in and out for all that we wanted to see...GERSWHIN, central park, the met, times square, empire state building etc. The revolving restaurant was a bit pricey but well worth it. Changed rooms to higher floor after first night and it was perfect!

Stayed here for 3 nights in August 2014. Arrived in the early AM and they were able to get us our room that morning so we all got to take a much needed nap before lunch and freshen up. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
