Hotel has a great view and a convenient location. Right next to northbound artery to get anywhere in Manhattan. I loved the convenience of running to Battery Park to Brooklyn and back. All with few street crossings. Or run along the river with fewer. Hotel...More

I got a really good rate for this hotel (< $110 a night) on a travel site. I’m also a Marriott club member. But turns out as a club member, you have to book using the Marriott site before you get free WiFi. Otherwise, it’s...More
Had just one evening to spend in NYC. Most convenient hotel available.
Good staff on the desk and out front. Bellmen were especially helpful finding a limo on a snowy evening. Adjacent to the new World Trade Center but we didn't have time to visit.

At the southernmost tip of Manhattan, the Financial District is where New York City began as a center of commerce. Today, the historic streets and beautiful setting are complemented by museums, countless skyscrapers, and the heart of the Financial District, home to Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange. Catch the Staten Island Ferry for an unbeatable view of the skyline and Statue of Liberty, or sail to Ellis
Island to learn about the vital immigrant history of the city.

Taxi or Uber. I believe there is a fixed price set by the appropriate Transit Authority for Taxis - you will need to check the internet. I have departed to and from JFK airport. The price is a flat rate plus tolls. I have no idea of the price of public transport to and from La Guardia. I did use public transport from JFK many years ago when I was a student. It was very much the cheaper option but it was , relatively speaking , an even more arduous schlep than my transatlantic flight.
