What a great place. I stay here multiple times a year for business travel and simply love it. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the location is great. It's great for both business and leisure travel. Keep up the great job

The room smelled badly and staff people were rude after hearing about it. Do not buy a timeshare from Marriott. They will rip you off in every possible way and say it is just the way we do business. We don't care. We don't have to. We are Marriott.

The hotel while charming is just old and needs a face lift. Valet took an hour for our car (stated 30 mins). The hotel shampoos/soaps are disgusting "aromatic woods" collection. Why would I want to smell like musky woods? Also no room service unless you are a Gold or Platinum member. disappointing! Not what I expected from a Marriott property...

What nice, sweet people from the doorman to housekeeping! Right off the bat, I asked for a high floor, quiet room, view of 49th and Lexington, corner room...and get this, we got there about ten am and they checked us in! All my picky demands were met, plus this wildly early checkin, and here is the really piggy part....it was...

Hotel in a great location in NY. Close to Rockefeller Centre, Time Square and Grand Central Station. Good size and clean bedrooms. To save money breakfast at Au Bon Pain at 595 Lexington Ave. and not in the hotel

Don't stay at this hotel, it shouldn't be part of the Marriott brand. I only stay here when my preferred hotels in Midtown are full. This hotel's only redeeming factor is location. For business, you are in the heart of Midtown. For tourism, it's a reasonably short walk to the Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Bloomingdales, Grand Central Station, and more....

I stayed here twice this year mainly because I'm a Marriott Gold Club member (at least for 2014). I'd stayed here once before this most recent stay, in February this year, and was a little unhapy about my stay because at first Marriot had screwed up my Gold Card membership and the hotel did not give me its benefits. When...

This is a very good hotel. Location is excellent for leisure and business. It has decent sized rooms for Manhattan, good toilette, good facilities, good TV and channel selection, good lobby, decent all-round. Highly recommended for location and rooms. Service is also helpful and friendly.

Really disappointed. Excellent location and good room size, but condition is quite poor. Maybe I've been in Asia too long, but since when do you pay for a drink in the executive lounge? Couldn't sleep in because window shade wouldn't close all the way. Lounge was worn and dirty. Just generally really disappointed. I'll admit to being a bit harsh...

The hotel was clean, staff was courteous. It was an easy walk to all of the places on our "to do list". Lion King play, stroll to battery park, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and Tiffanies! Mant choices to eat! Restaurant on site great for a morning breakfast. Would not hesitate to stay there again if the opportunity presents...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
