Lads w/e in NYC for a sports event. Great location, friendly staff, ideal for what we wanted. Busy, lots of families etc., everybody looks happy with the hotel. You may have to wait a while for the elevator during busy periods.

This hotel is huge. We stayed on the 28th floor and I'm pretty sure there were ten above us. Our room was great until we were sleeping- and sweating. They lock the temperature from going below a certain point- why? We had to wake up at 230 AM and have a mechanic come look at our AC. Btw two drinks...

My stay was a very underwhelming experience. The room was absolutely basic -- no frills -- not even a desk for working. The bathroom was old, small and plain. Except for the central location, there really isn't a reason to stay here if you are looking for something special. This shouldn't be a Grand Hyatt.

The hotel is nice, clean and recently renovated. We are located inside basic room in the 32nd floor. We slept well. The hallways were quiet. The hotel is ideally situated beside Grand Central with the Chrysler Building on the other side. Great location for getting to local attractions.

The hotel was great value on the net. I had to argue to get the breakfast included as it was on the original advertisement when I booked. After much negotiation it was, but dealing with the hotel I was stonewalled. The rooms were a little tired and two mornings we were woken up before 8am with drilling. I discussed this...

Have stayed here many times, including 4 times in the past few months. Often able to get a good price here. And the location is convenient and Grand Central is extraordinary. But there's been many disappointing moments in recent stays. Twice, the room was not serviced at all between 9am and 3 pm. Had to pay for an upgrade to...

The Grand Hyatt is located less than a block from Grand Central Terminal in NYC, providing easy access to many of the top attractions. The hotel itself is a "big box" chain hotel with all that implies. Customer service is inconsistent, housekeeping can't always keep up with the large amount of traffic and turnover, and the front desk is always...

The downside- the tub in our room needed to be redone. The upside- everything else. Location, location, location. Right at Grand Central station. Walking distance to Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center, etc. Service- impeccable. Everyone from the housekeeper who greeted us each morning in the hallway to the front desk agent who was kind enough to check us in early after...

Got out of taxi in the rain. The doorman was on his phone and didn't help me with the bags at all. Waited 15 minutes to check in the diamond line while receptionist chatted to those who were in the line aheaded of me. Was told no water in the room so then had to go to marketplace and line...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
