We arrived early but our room was ready and we were allowed to check in and get out to enjoy New York. We had requested a room with 3 single beds and were very pleased to find a decent size room with a view of the top of the Empire State Building. The bathroom was small but adequate, our towels...

The hotel is in a fantastic location in easy walking distance to all the major attractions New York has to offer and is literally just around the corner from the Flatiron building. You will need to overlook the quite grubby and dated rooms and the worlds slowest elevators though. The complimentary breakfast was great because it was free but I...

Love staying here.. We come to New York 2 or 3 times a year and have stayed here for the last 4 years. Friendly staff, great location and it just feels like home. We were there for the blizzard of 2017 and flew in eaflier than we had room reservations. No problem. Room made ready and had another great stay....

This was my bday overnight trip with my girls. 3 of us. We had a room with 2 double beds. The beds were close together, you couldn't walk between them. You basically had to dive in the bed. The room was so small you couldn't move, the bathroom was the only thing updated. Phone didn't work. If you looking for...

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your recent stay with us. Many thanks for highlighting our helpful staff. However, I was sorry to read that you were disappointed with the size of your allocated guest room. Like many of New York hotels, space can be a luxury. However, we have eight different room categories available. I...

My friends and I chose this hotel because we got a great deal on the price. Pros: The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Our room was small, but that is to be expected in NYC. We had three single beds which was a nice change. The room had a safe, coffee pot, and refrigerator. The hotel was...

Room: enjoyed having three twin beds. Sounds weird, but with preteen daughter and teen son, it was a miracle. There were some bites on the daughter the first night, hence the lack of a star, but that ceased after the first night Thank Goodness. Really liked the price, the breakfast, the coffee all the time, and the feel of it....

We just had a one night stay in NYC and wanted to be in the Chelsea area for an art show. There are very few reasonable choices for this neighborhood so we felt lucky to be able to come across the Heritage Hotel for a reasonable rate. The hotel is old but you can see recent updates in the lobby...

Hotel's location is great, right on Broadway and 5th Avenue and a few minutes walk to ESB and other attractions. There's a SuperMarket just round the corner so you can stock up. There are also Metro stations nearby. We got a room on top floor with amazing view to ESB. Room was clean with a comfortable king size bed. Wifi,...

I was fortunate to have found this old charm hotel in NYC for less than $100. I stayed for two nights, and was able to have a restful sleep. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. They offer the basic toiletries; hair dryer, and a security deposit box was a welcome amenity, big enough to store your...

It was absolutely not value for money. We fell into the trap of price but we paid double price with this hotel. The general feeling in this hotel that you are in a completely run-down, shabby place. Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
