Do not leave this hotel without getting your credit card refunded for additional charges they take off without telling you !!! We booked this hotel for three nights well in advance, and handed over our credit card at the desk. They sold us an upgrade which along with the room rate was charged to the card.. However without telling us...

Dear Mike d, Thank you for writing a review about the Hotel Belleclaire. Your feedback is essential to our success! The charge that is on your credit card is an authorization obtained by the hotel. This is an industry standard to hold a certain amount of money per night (in our case $50) on the guest credit card to cover...

I love this hotel. This was my 5th stay here and I plan to come back here next time I'm in NY. Great location, turn right and walk a few blocks to Central Park, turn left and walk a few blocks to the Hudson River. Restaurants, bakeries, shops on every block around you. Subway within blocks each way. The vibe...

Not a deluxe hotel but good value. Ideal location on the upper West Side. Clean and comfortable. One block from Zabar's. Very close to subway entrance. Neighborhood is safe with many stores and restaurants. Room was very quiet as the hotel is on a narrow side street.

We loved our stay here, our room was lovely and cosy, the bed was really comfy, the shower was heaven! The staff at reception and in the lobby were always welcoming, friendly and helpful. We loved our little unexpected goody bag of treats that we were given on our arrival because of it being fashion week at the time -...

We found the hotel staff to be very helpful, polite and accomodating. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our family stayed in the family suite which was the right size for us for our brief one-night stay. This hotel is in an older building (i.e., perhaps turn of the century) which has its charms but may...

I have stayed at Hotel Belleclaire 4 times now. It is a charming hotel located in my favorite neighborhood in NYC- the Upper West Side. Sure the elevators are small and it is a challenge to fit people and luggage in them but I think the location makes up for this. You are close to two subway stops, blocks from...

It started well, the very nice receptionist upgraded me from a queen room to a king, I didn't find the room overwhelmingly charming and the water coming out of the bathroom tap was constantly white instead of clear, which the hotel's engineer said was simply the way 'water looks in New York City'. Telling the same person I had stayed...

What a great find. Always love the UWS, and so glad to find a nice affordable hotel. The room was decent sized for NY, bed comfortable, staff friendly, free wifi, nice lobby.
