This hotel is in the perfect location. We walked to everything. Yes, it is A NO FRILLS HOTEL, but the rooms are very very clean and the beds are comfortable. We asked for a room on a lower floor to avoid problems with the elevator and the water pressure as reported in previous posts. It proved to be a very...

I knew i made a bad choice when we walked in the front door.No lobby just a front desk, checked in and told the elevator was out of order.and no parking discounts The room ( 3rd.floor ) was tiny and dated, with a dated TV that only had 2 stations. The bathroom was tiny and the sink was so small that you didnt...

We chose this hotel based on previous Trip Advisor reviews and stayed for a week in March 2008. We paid $165 per night for a room with two double beds. The location of the hotel was excellent. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. Yes we had problems with the shower running hot and cold however over the course...

I don't know why this hotel ranks so low. As long as you know you're in a budget hotel, it is a wonderful place. In searching for a reasonably priced place in NYC, I looked at almost all of the hotels and B&B's listed in TripAdvisor. Coming from Canada, I was surprised to find that most of the budget hotels...

As a budget hotel, one can't really expect too much in terms of amenities and perks. Our comfortably-sized room had everything we needed - a private bathroom with towels and soap, a small TV and desk/chair - but not much else. My biggest issues with the Park Savoy is that it's directly adjacent to a large construction site that isn't...

Can you imagine paying less that $200 a nigh in Mahattan? If you are a looking for good hotel and great price AWESOME location, this is the place. It is on block between Carnagie Hall and Central Park South. This is NOT a luxury hotel. There is no bell hop or turn down service. There is small & unobtrusive staff....

Very nice little hotel two blocks from Central Park; clean, cosy rooms, nice people, helpful stuff, b/b... If you are not a spoiled guest, the most important thing in NYC is where is your hotel settled. We spent wonderful 4 days there!

This hotel is well worth considering for a budget traveler in NYC because of its location. Easy access to the subway lines, short walk to Times Square, just a block from the south edge of Central Park -- can't get much better than that. It was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. You can sign up for...

I stayed in this hotel during 7 days with my boyfriend. All in all it was a good experience. My travel agent booked it for me, it was the cheapest hotel she could find in Midtown. She had told me it was very simple, but well located and clean, so I didn't have many expectations. The bedroom was good: clean,...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
