Hotel has no restaurant/bar but you are surrounded by restaurants/bars in the Tribeca area. Rooms were extraordinarily sounded proofed and I never heard any street noise. Would stay again on my own. One complaint the elevator was chronically slow and on occasion not working. They were in the midst of construction issues, so make sure that that is completed when...

While the hotel was doing some lobby renovation and the new elevators weren't operational..staying at the cosmopolitain was a treat, The rooms are compact but fresh as a daisy and nicely appointed. Great water pressure and instant hot water on the 7th floor. Great view of Freedom Tower and the Woolworth building out of my window. A quick walk to...

I had to look for a place to stay in NYC without spending a fortune (like $400+/night) got my room for around $260/night plus tax. I entitled my review Balance as my stay was completely enjoyable but not luxurious. I'd stay there again. Ask of a room that has a street facing window otherwise its quite dark. The windows are...

Don't be fooled by what you see online. 1. On arrival staff unfriendly /not welcoming 2. Construction In foyer 3. One lift that is slow and the other lift broken 4. We even called ahead to ask about our room before confirming and on arrival what we booked was not what we got. Paid $475 USD for one night !!!Only...

Really good hotel, staff very friendly. Room although not large I don't expect anyone to be in there other than to sleep there is so much to do and see in New York. All in room amenities were excellent, proper shampoo, conditioner, soap rather that the "all in one" liquid soaps many hotels are doing now. Hotel is excellently positioned...

Rooms are very small, Staff was great. Close to quality restaurants. Facility is under construction so quite a bit of dust, etc. No restaurant or coffee so the hotel must order in. Ice must be requested from staff. Response to requests is good.

If all you need is a bed, a bathroom and a large screen tv mounted on the wall, then I would say you are in luck. However, if you have luggage, beware! Our queen deluxe had no room to put any luggage but for a backpack in the one foot closet. No dresser, no desk...literally, a bed with 2 small...

If you're coming here for business, make sure you ask for a quiet room because if you end up with bad luck in the noisy part of the building, be prepared to not get a good night's sleep. I was disappointed with this stay.

Service and facilities were good. The room was small (bordering on claustrophobic). There was about a foot and a half on either side of the bed. There was a small closet, but no drawers to put clothes in, so plan accordingly. Good room service, but they tend to ignore their own process for being "green" as I didn't put out...

This is a great find. My room was quite large by NYC standards. Decoration was very nice. Just below the hotel are a Starbucks and a Pret à Manger. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk from 911 Memorial and a 15-20 minute subway ride from 42nd Street with the subway access literally just outside the front door.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
