We booked very last min and as a result we got a great deal, which we did take into account with the hotel. The staff were polite and friendly, however the room we staying in desperately needs updating, and had an overall feel of grubbiness....More
Let’s Start with the Pros -
Location - Amazing! <10m from Times Square, <5m from Central Park. F Subway literally 70 yards away, easy connection with other lines. Hotel felt safe and secure.
Staff - Seriously nice and very pleasant. In a city with a...More
This is a well-located hotel opposite Carnegie Hall with lots of shops and transport. However, it is very seedy and looks like it hasn't been updated in 50 years. The big surprise was when I asked about wifi and was presented with a number of...More
Hotel building is old, and decor is dated. Bed was comfortable enough, and room was clean. For one night, it was okay, but I wouldn't want to stay there much more than that. Great if you're going to Carnegie Hall, as that is right across...More
Suites allow for flexible sleeping space and simpler rules available, too. No frills, but the lobby was comfortable enough for our party to gather and wait for others to arrive. Right across from Carnegie Hall and around the block from southernmost point of Central Park.

United States > New York > New York City > Midtown / Manhattan
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Hi - I don't remember specifically; however, I do know it was a charge we did not feel was justified and therefore, we did not use our wifi at the hotel. It was in teh $20-$25 range and it was a PER DEVICE charge, not per room. We went to a Starbucks close by when we needed it. We have 4 children, 2 of whom are teenagers and they LOVE their wifi, however, they did not complain about this once, probably because we were out so much. If I were traveling for business and had work to do, this might be a concern for me. For us, it wasn't an issue. Hope that helps.
