The hotel was in a good location and rooms were spacious but it was a bit outdated. There was one person working the front desk with a line of people waiting to check in, although he remained very pleasant. The room was nice for the price we paid.

Good position and close to 2 metro stations. I've stayed here on numerous occasions but this was somewhat disappointing. The room was quite small compared with other rooms in this hotel and did not have a kitchen area. Also they have stopped providing breakfast requiring a trip outside. Fortunately café Europa do a good breakfast. Bathrooms are old fashioned and...

The location of this hotel cannot be beat, I will give it that. I've stayed in many a tourist-class hotel but this place was a new low. The mini-fridge leaked water that kept a portion of the carpet in a state of perpetual sogginess. The electrical wires coming out of the wall were loose and looked to be unsafe. Sad,...

Large rooms, super comfortable and close to Central Park and subway lines. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. It's not all shiny and new like the more expensive hotels. We found it relaxing and will stay here again next time.

Great hotel to stay in manhattan. Well located for Central Park Bloomingdales 5th Avenue and many other uptown attractions then just a short walk to the subway for any other place you want to go. The rooms are large and comfortable and if you get a room facing 57th street you get a kitchenette with fridge and tea and coffee...

Have just returned from a 3 night stay here with my husband and 3 kids. This hotel has many good and bad points. My first thought upon checking in was that I would be checking straight back out again but having read the reviews I decided to hold off. Badly lit and very very old fashioned when we arrived, quite...

We got the room with the king bed. The bed was new and clean. Our room had a separate living room and bedroom which was nice. However the rooms were very outdated and could use some work. But everything was kept very clean so I could look past the outdated decor. This hotel is in a great location, near central...

Run down hotel in a perfect location (between Times Square & Central Park). Everything is old & outdated. Room is spacious. Hallways, elevator, & lobby is cramped. Poor customer service experience. The front desk staff, Michael, who checked us in has no place in the hospitality business. He was rude, unhelpful & cold as snow. He just threw the ID...

We are a family of 4 and stayed 4 nights at Salisbury hotel, nyc at february vacation. The decoration of the hotel is a bit aged, however it is kept very clean. Housekeeping is making a good job. It has a budget friendly rate with a perfect Location, walking distance to many attractions and pretty close to 2 main subway...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
