This is an old family oriented Hotel, not exactly a luxury, but it is comfortable and located only two blocks away from Central Park. If you visit the City, for a few days this is the place to be. They have breakfast available but I have never used. Too many good restaurants nearby.

The Salisbury is less than fancy. However, it is perfectly located near major NYC attractions and most accessible. On my recent visit, I was greeted warmly, given a spacious suite with a lockable safe and kitchenette, and found the rooms most pleasant. The staff was very attentive to my needs. The Salisbury is my go to place in NYC,

Recommended by a friend who stayed there many years ago, we werent sure what to expect. Yes it is an older hotel and past its prime but it is really well located, still in reasonable condition and rooms were large (we got a suite for what you would normally get a shoe box in New York). The only down side...

We stayed at the Salisbury for 6 nights early December. Yes it's old,but compared to other New York hotels the room is huge! Its an affordable option for those wanting to be close to a lot of NY sights - Central Park, Radio City and Times Square is all walkable...even with smaller kids. If you don't feel like walking the...

Location is great, staff are very nice and helpful. Rooms are big. The hotel is old but its very clean. The price is reasonable. Microwave, coffe maker, safe, TV, iron all in the rooms. Heating was on all thr time but opening the windows helped.

A few things to know about this hotel. On the plus side, It is in a great location and is very clean. The beds are on the hard side, but surprisingly comfortable, On the other side, the rooms facing the road are incredible noisy (which is kind of interesting to hear the buzz of NYC at night), and the rooms...

I'm glad I chose this hotel at the last minute. The hotel is an older style design but the warm greeting upon check-in. Priceless! My room was very clean, spacious and warm. I loved the mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave and sink area. There is a fresh market across the street with everything you could need. I was close to...

The Salisbury is in a great location in close walking distance to the shops on Fifth Ave, time square and Central Park. The hotel is definitely older in decor and slightly dated. But saying that the bed was comfortable, the room was both clean and spacious. Which is much more important than the look additionally the staff were both friendly...

You just can not beat the size of the rooms here. Location is excellent for touring, walk to Central Park, Times Square and Rockefeller Center in few minutes. Access to subways near by, and food choices abound within couple of blocks. Attentive staff are helpful and friendly. Not the fanciest hotel in town but after 6 trips to NYC in...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
