The hotel is in an excellent position for Times Square. Good subway nearby. The rooms were lovely - one had a view of the skyline but if you are at the front the traffic is very noisy. Beds large and comfortable and excellent Maid service. Sadly the reception staff were not very friendly and always seemed in a rush. However...

OK, you're not right IN Times Square, but you're only a 10-minute walk away - maybe less. We got the "Junior Suite" and both rooms were ENORMOUS. 2 Queen(?) size beds in one rooms and good sofa-bed in the other with two TV, lots of chairs and wardrobe/drawer space. Only ate there one morning as it's cheaper to go out...

Stayed at Skyline for 4 nights in March 2012. Having read about hotel in previous reviews was'nt sure what to expect. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms pleasant enough and cleaned everyday although we only used hotel as a base as they is so much to do. Ate in hotel once in attached restaurant, food was very nice...

The place was cheaper than most. Location was great, just straight road 5 to 10 mins walk and at times square, but saying that everywhere is easy to find in new York! Room ok, nothing special but a good base. Would recommend if on a budget, nothing special but very sufficient!

Loved our stay at the skyline. The view from our room was amazing, of the city sky line. The staff were lovely and have a facility to look after your bags after you've checked out so that the day isn't wasted lugging bags around. (we had a late flight home so this was very good) the pj bricks attached was...

We held a function in the Penthouse Ballroom. The staff was incredible with a wonderful view of Manhatten. The rooms were clean and large. You just don't get better value in NYC

The location is great if you want to be in the Theater District. Within walking distance of everything in that area (Times Square, Broadway shows, Central Park, etc). It was clean. Our room was ready early. The concierge was very helpful. On the downside -- there is nothing really "special" about this place. I had hurt my knee and asked...

We stayed at the Skyline from 21.03 to 25.03. The room was a superior with two double beds, was a little dated but clean and an excellent size. Staff were really helpful especially when we had trouble contacting home and again when our transfer didn't arrive to take us to the airport. The location was excellent. It's only a few...

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel between 26.3.12 and 31.3.12. Room: We booked a superior room with two double beds. The room was a decent size. Decor is very dated but that did not bother us. Although the beds were comfortable, I was unimpressed with the condition of the bed linen since the sheets, the valance and the...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
