We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Watson this past weekend. We’ve tried an array of accommodations throughout the years in Manhattan, and this is now one of our favourites. It’s not the most elegant or contemporary, but it gets the job done at a reasonable price. The building itself is a little dated in a retro 70’s way,...

Had the pleasure of staying here for a week back in Feb. To be honest even if it was the worst hotel I'd still probably have loved it, 'cos let's face it, I was in New York!! But it was clean, warm and the location was brilliant. I had breakfast there one morning and it was lovely and variable, but...

We found the Watson to be in a great location-Central Park, Columbia Circle, walking distance to Time Square. Room was comfortable and large. Walking distance to great places to dine. We checked in a little early and the staff was very accommodating. Decor is a bit dated but didn't detract from stay. However the construction outside our room didn't allow...

We could not he happier with The Watson. Perfect staff. Perfect bar.. perfect rooms.. economical and close yo everything. We will only stay at this hotel from now on! It doesn't even matter that there was a change over from the Holiday Inn to the Watson. They did noy skip a beat in customer satisfaction!

What a delightful hotel to stay in.Okay, the rooms are pretty basic, but the matresses are excellent, the rooms are spacious, the entire staff are gracious, the bar tenders are a lot of fun and work very hard, the front desk is very helpful with directions, the little restaurant is inexpensive and serves a great breakfast. For lunch try their...

Stayed here and expected a great hotel from the pictures and web site. Rooms are tired and old. Bathrooms are a joke and old. No lighting or safes we had to move rooms to get a room safe. Lobby lacked any atmosphere... don't buy the sightseeing vouchers go direct all we did was queue after being told that we'd skip...

Good location (near Central Park), kindly staff. Clean rooms and nice lobby. One thing - no information about repair works next to our window in the morning 9:30 am. Luckily we were already awakened..

Good value for the money. Had a basic room but by New York standards it was gigantic. There was plenty of room to walk around the bed and room. Bathroom was well kept with good towels and amentities. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
