Once we knew we were off to New York, the planning and researching into our holiday started. After reading all the reviews about Hotel Elysee, we decided to book this hotel. We were not dissapointed, what a lovely hotel from the doorman, to Rob at the front desk who handled our reservation and to the desk staff, to Erica and...

I appreciated the friendly, helpful staff and the clean, quiet room. The clubroom was so convenient for getting together with friends and having a comfortable place to sit not to mention the food/snacks and drinks provided throughout the day. Nice location.....

This was our second stay at the Elysee with members of my family. No disappointments same great breakfast and front desk service. My son used the gym which is four blocks from the hotel and free for guests, apparently excellent. I would still highly recommend the hotel for cost, position, service and a home from home feel. Very practical and...

The perfect place if you want a quiet, cozy, little hotel that looks after your every need and is right in the heart of the city. The famous Monkey Bar lounge and restaurant right off the small lobby are excellent!

As with our previous stays here, this hotel was just great! The location can't be beat, and each and every staff member we encountered was efficient, professional, pleasant and eager to help. We appreciate that there are always very nice people working here. Our junior suite on the14th floor was clean, quiet, and very spacious for my husband, myself, and our...

We love historic hotels and Élysée did not disappoint. Built in 1926, once the stomping ground of Tennessee Williams, who dubbed it "The Easy Lay." Home to the iconic Monkey Bar, which we took advantage of more than once; this is a charming, though tiny hotel. Small rooms, beautifully decorated in heavy curtains, mahogany, and Gallic furniture. We celebrated our...

What a place. We arrived early & enjoyed a juicy burger & cold beer at the Monkey Bar while waiting for our room to be prepared. Our 14th floor room included a terrace with unforgettable views of midtown Manhattan, which added a whole new dimension to our experience of New York City. The staff could not have been more accomodating,...

A great stay in a beautiful historic Hotel. Very kind staff. Very nice furniture. For NYC, we felt the room was pretty large with comfortable beds and high class bed linen. Good Continental breakfast which was included in the room price. Great "Apero" in the later afternoon in the Club room with wine and snacks. I informed Reservation about the...

Having researched New York hotels on TA prior to booking, and having been recommended the Library hotel group by friends, we decided on the Elysee because the standard rooms were larger than other hotels in the group. We were not disappointed. From arrival the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was well appointed, spotless and very comfortable. The...

I just returned from my first trip to New York and stayed at the Hotel Elysee. I just loved that place. It was so quaint and cozy and you felt like it was home away from home. I loved everything about it, the staff, room, and my favorite, the club room. I will definitely be going back there on my...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
