We stayed here again this past week 10/20-22 and many times over the years and this year alone several times-see my previous reviews of this hotel ( I don't do them every time I have stay here since there are so many). Improvements that need to happen: 1. Another elevator, there is 1 small elevator for 15 floors. 2. Breakfast...

This was my first visit to NYC, and I fear I have been spoilt for any future visits if they are not at the Elysee. The location is unbeatable for museums, Central Park, shopping and just plain strolling! The rooms are delightful, old fashioned and extremely comfortable. Superb linen and beds. If you're looking for high tech, everything that opens...

I stayed for only one night as i was attending a reunion dinner at a restaurant across the street and had to get back to Nebraska the next day. So I had to leave before 6 and missed the reportedly wonderful breakfast but the evening reception upon arrival was really lovely and with a generous selection of food and drink....

We had read some pretty poor reviews of hotels in New York. Read the reviews about this one and thought it to be too good to be true. However it does live up to everything that is written about it. Room was much larger that we had expected, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff are excellent - they really...

Just had a fab 4 night stay at this lovely hotel. From start to finish we were looked after and made to feel very welcome. The rooms were quite spacious (for New York) and the bed was very comfortable. On our first night we had a slight problem with noise from both the street and the generator which we spoke...

This hotel exudes European charm from the moment you step inside. Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable without being pushy or obnoxious. We had booked our stay the night before for a surprise birthday overnight. Nothing had been mentioned about my birthday but as soon as they noticed it was my "special" day I was given a lovely bottle of wine....

This was our second stay. Brilliant location in this boutique style hotel. Front desk team were friendly and helpful. We had a balcony room, so we had a bit more space and a view. Great in Summer but would not be worth the extra cost during wet or cooler seasons. The breakfast in the Club Room was continental style - everything...

This hotel was perfect for our recent NYC trip. It is a great location between two subway stations with an excellent Italian restaurant right across the street and an attached restaurant we did not try. Our room was totally quiet, which is certainly unusual for a big city. Our room, and perhaps all of the rooms, had an entry hall...

Our third stay here. Fantastic location! Walking distance to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, 5th & Park Avenues. Good value: room included breakfast and all-day use of their Club Room with coffee service, wine, champagne and noshes. Rooms are quiet, comfortable, clean, unpretentious and traditional - we feel at home here. They play quiet classical music in the Club Room --...

This review is a few months tbt, however our stay at The Hotel Elysee stays with us, and I want to tell you how happy we are with our experience at this gorgeous boutique hotel! Stayed for five nights in the summer, together with my 11-year old daughter! We had such a great time, our room was beautiful, we had...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
