A room facing Broadway is good, one can see the all night activity of restocking at Fairway grocery across the street. The adjacent bar is good for a nightcap and the diner on the other side is good for breakfast. The subway is at 72nd street and buses out front. A starbucks is half a block away.

Stayed at the Beacon Hotel NY for five nights in February 2017 with my wife. If you are planning to visit New York, I would highly recommend that you stay at the Beacon. The hotel is classic by design, with excellent modern cons such as good, strong and free Wifi. Each room has a kitchen area and the rooms are very...

I stayed here with a friend in February and we got a very good rate for NYC. The staff is very kind and accommodating and our room was clean and comfortable. The small kitchenette with toaster, refrigerator and coffee maker is very handy. This is a convenient location on the Upper West side. Unfortunately, due to the coming snow storm,...

Wonderful hotel, great service staff and great upper west side location. Bar is a great place to meet, drink and grab some eats. Add tickets to a concert at the Beacon Theater next door and is doesn't get any better.

Stayed here over the Xmas period and overall stay was excellent. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was the smell of cigarette smoke that came into our room from the Beacon Theater next door. We were offered another room, however, decided that it was too much of an inconvenience packing and moving. Anyone who doesn't like the...

Nice room, quiet, clean, including a kitchenette. The location is perfect for anyone on the upper west side. The rooms are bigger than hotels I have stayed in midtown or the upper East Side. Excellent nightly rate, no matter how you book it.

This is the second time staying at the Hotel Beacon, and each time it just gets better. Arrived in the big storm, and it was like coming home. The front desk and everyone that works there is so nice and accommodating. We were there for a trade show at the Javits Center, and it is a quick cab/uber ride into...
