The Kimberly is a lovely old midtown hotel that is in a perfect location. The area felt very safe. The lobby is small and quaint. When we were there, the restaurant was being renovated and not available for service. There are so many places within walking distance that finding food is not an issue. Many of the rooms are suites... More

I can't for the life of me figure out how this hotel can get so many stars. As I lay in the hard as a rock bed with the Air conditioner unit that is blasting loud sound but producing no air...the interior of the room is so dated...my view is of scaffolding ....all this for $450 per night......This is room... I can't say enough about this place. I spend three weeks every year in NY and this place is the best. Great location slap bang in the middle of Manhattan. All mods cons and it has a fantastic rooftop bar for a tipple under the stars at night. I've never had a bad stay yet. Staff are warm and friendly... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from 6th to 10th June. It was our first visit to New York and something we had planned for a long time. We checked in and were advised that we had been upgraded and our room had a view of the Chrysler building. We were on the 23rd Floor and when we... More

Our family of four has stayed here on three occasions and we have been happy each time. We tried a different hotel in a different part of town during our last visit, and we ended up being sorry that we did not book the Kimberly for a fourth time. Rooms are incredibly spacious by NY standards, and the location can't... More

This is an apartment hotel with several floors of residential suites. We read reviews on Trip Advisor when researching places to stay in N.Y. and chose this hotel on the strength of the reviews and pricing. It was in a good location, fairly central to wherever we planned to travel etc. We were upgraded to a suite which was very... More

On a recent trip to New York City, my mother, son (6 years old) and I stayed for a night at The Kimberly. We were impressed with the staff and all facilities. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
