First time staying at the Kimberly and check in was a breeze. Very friendly staff and the room is huge by NYC standards. Here for a quick stay and so far loving the accommodations. The bed is super comfortable and love the kitchenette.

Not much to say other than we had a very large room. It was quiet. Room and hotel were clean and well looked after. Staff were friendly. They don't have much of a gym. You need to walk a couple of blocks to a gym if you want a workout.

We traveled to NYC with our 2 children and loved staying at The Kimberly. The suites were huge and perfect for the 4 of us. The staff were amazing. We especially enjoyed Harry, the bellman, who made us feel special each time we came and left. We can't say enough about this place and will definitely stay here again!

I booked my room directly with the hotel via email with their reservation staff who were nice enough to inform me that my business rate was actually more than the advertised room rate at the time. Booked room at the advertised rate and was upgraded at check-in to a two bedroom suite which was larger than most apartments in Manhattan!...

A beautiful roof top bar serving fabulous cocktails and food all in a setting which felt quite magical. The fairy lights and the lights from the surrounding buildings gave it a great atmosphere. The best view of The Chrysler building at night- pricey but worth it.

I've spent a lot of time at the Kimberly over the years and I'm pleased to see the changes they've made to the rooms. They used to be more like ones grandmothers dowdy old home. Since they renovated the rooms are still a little bit staid, but I have to say that the sweets are very large and have enough...

Perhaps I was mislead by the ratings advertised on the website, but I expected more. Very modest furnishings in rooms (although admittedly spacious), unremarkable bathroom. Fitness center is very limited. Nonetheless, probably better than the other higher-priced alternatives.

I stayed at this hotel on short notice, mostly due to location. I paid top dollar due to the last minute reservation. They put me in a suite on the 30th floor. It seemed spacious and had a small balcony, which was nice. The furnishings (super traditional) are not to my taste, but it was well-appointed. Upon returning from dinner,...

The Kimberly is an overlooked jewel with expansive suites at less than hotel room prices and included a kitchenette and a balcony. It is well located on E 50th around the corner from the Waldorf. The staff was VERY helpful as well. We ate at both restaurants and the steak house had perfectly cooked burgers. Bistango, the Italian restaurant, was...

Good location and very clean hotel. Two blocks away from Rockefeller Center. Special bonus the pent House restaurant. The breakfast is served there. Fresh fruits, good service. The cook makes omeletti according your wishes.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
