Room was clean and comfy. Did the job for our 3 night stay. However, no coffee/tea facilities in room, air conditioning was really loud! For the price for the room it would of been nice to have at least continental breakfast included but wasn't prepared to pay $17 each for cooked. Majority of staff were friendly and welcoming, although one...

Got bitten when i came out of shower, 3 other guests spotted small black insects in their rooms. After a reasonably good flight and a hectic transfer from the airport I arrived at the excelsior hotel at 8:45pm tired and a little bit grumpy but was met by a friendly receptionist who gave me my room card and...

The building is beautiful, the bar serves great drinks and the rooms are lovely and clean. My view of the city was pretty great and it's situated directly across the Natural History museum on one side and across central park, a couple of buildings into the block. It's within walking distance of all the major museums and has great restaurants...

Stayed at hotel weekend of 10/14-10/16. Last day of stay found bug in the bathroom (see pic). Looked like a bed bug to me, but I'm no expert having never seen one before except on internet. Called front desk, head of housekeeping came up and took a look and said she wasn't sure, but in her 20 years she's never...

Stayed three nights during the second week of October (went to NY for business). The front of the hotel is getting a major facelift (lots of tarps and scaffolding), but inside the lobby? Gorgeous old-New York charm at its finest! I booked my stay right here through Trip Advisor...and was connected to a third-party service called Cancelon. It looked sketchy...
