We arrived in New York on April 4th at the Wolcott and were greeted by Erik and Cathleen at the front desk. They were very helpful with recommendations for a place close by for dinner, which was helpful since we were very tired from traveling all day. We were also very pleased to find out we had a room facing...

I did note njoy my stay at Wolcott hotel. I first was given rm. 1219 where I'm positive I received bedbites all over my upper body especially around the neck area. My grlfriend came into town the next day which meant i needed a bigger room because the bathroom was the size of a shoebox. We then changed to rm...

Location is perfect, in the middle of everything. Rooms are big. If you can choose, do not take room from the street side. Back side is much more silent. There is not free wifi which was disappointment.

My friend and I are women in our early 60's who traveled to NYC to see B'way shows and to visit friends. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at The Wolcott April 2-4, 2013. From the initial phone contact with Cathleen R. (Reservation Agent) we were impressed with the efficiency and the will to please that we encountered...

I'll be honest, i chose the Wolcott because we got an awesome deal for 2 nights. Check in went as it should go on any hotel, after my really cheap days were over I headed to the front desk to try my luck and see if i could extend my stay for a couple more days with the same or...

This hotel is in a great location, used as a base and a place to sleep its ideal, lack of restaurant is not important as there is so many places to eat close to the hotel, also the complimentary muffins and coffee in the morning set you up for the day, but just be warned if you get room 303...

We stayed in this hotel while visiting NYC on business. I found all the hotel staff friendly and helpful. Our room was fine, the only complaint is lack of a shelf for toiletries in the bathroom which could also use a couple hooks. Beds were comfortable. Of course we were facing the street and it is pretty noisy so don't...

I had read reviews for the Wolcott prior to my stay and was ready to take on whatever horrors an old hotel had to offer because of the nominal price and excellent location. However, I was pleasantly surprised and completely dispelled of my fears! It's obvious from the lobby with the sparkling chandeliers and ornate gold detailing, the hotel has...

I have a daughter who lives in NYC and am always looking for an affordable hotel near her for a good price. This time I visited with two of my friends and The Wolcott was not only convenient to what we wanted to do and reasonably priced, it had rooms with 3 twin beds. This sold us on the hotel...

The Wolcott is definitely an old hotel with a lot of charm. The staff was OK in helpfulness, but I didn't feel they were extending themselves as much as they could or should. One Concierge was no help and didn't seem to want to help. Room was OK and bed OK. In other words, nothing too wonderful, but adequate. Location...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
