Lovely Hotel, Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and warm. The only thing I missed was not having a kettle in the room to make your self a cup of tea when you got back from a busy day shopping.

Have just returned from a four night stay in the Wolcot hotel. The hotel has a vintage feel to it upon entering the beautiful reception area. The rooms have a similar feel. We stayed in a junior suite which was very spacious with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. It is very central for all the shops...

What a fab hotel, old style decadence, with what has to be the most comfiest beds ever!!, Staff are extremely helpful and cheerful and morning coffee and fresh muffins served in the lobby help start your day off well. Great location - 30 seconds from 5th Avenue and even better 5 minutes from Macys!!. We had a suite which was...

This hotel was built in 1904!!!One cannot expect to have all of the modern amenities one may be accustomed to when staying in a newer hotel. The location alone gets it a five. It is only a few blocks from Madison Square Garden/Penn Station and an easy walk to the theaters. We did not feel unsafe at any time in...

We stayed at the Wolcott in November for three nights. The room we had (Queen) was huge with an entry/study area, a huge bedroom and good sized bathroom. There was plenty of room for bags and two wardrobes. Our room was at the back of the hotel so the windows opened up/looked over the back of other buildings but that...

Stayed here for 5 nights with my partner to see all the Christmas decorations and NYC sights. The hotels location is great within walking distance of many attractions. The Empire State is just around the corner as is macys, the subway and many decent places to eat. When we arrived we were given a room on the smoking floor with...

This hotel will not appeal to everyone however it is very close to the amenities. We didn't get the warmest of welcomes but some of the staff were more friendly than others. You do not get free wifi in the hotel, you have to pay and I think it's $6 a day and $35 for a week. Complimentary tea, coffee...

Perfect. Pristine. We got room last minute for two and were in the back where it was warm and quiet. Friendly staff, arrived at noon hoping they would store our bags (they would) but the room was ready, so we checked in. They will also hold bags after the 12:30 check out. We liked that we could have two twin...

On first appearance this hotel looks to be stuck in a time warp. Don't be fooled. This is a great hotel. It is clean, warm, comfortable and the staff knowledgable and very helpfull. It has a great history if you take the time to look around you. The hotel is central to most of the sights you would like to...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“back rooms are very quiet, not much view, but not much traffic noise.”

“Excellent location between 5th Av and Broadway would not stay anywhere else in NYC. Single glazed windows make for noisy mornings as expected with continuous construction and traffic so if you are a light sleeper this could be problematic but otherwise excellent value for money and location. Bed and Breakfast consists of tea, coffee and a baked muffin in the Lobby but 2 minute walk is a pharmacy that sells fresh cut fruit and cereal which we chose most days. Closely located to subway stations i.e. Penn station where you can buy a railcard for $21.00 this can be used for up to 4 people and is ideal for getting to and from sight seeing attractions up and down the city.”
