This is a fantastic hotel if you are not one for bells and whistles and you just want a brilliant location for your stay in New York. No breakfast on offer (unless you count the muffins and coffee) but we actually did not find this to be a problem as we loved getting out and eating what the American’s eat...

Found this hotel to be lovely and charming and as all the other reviews have said great muffins, the location is excellent and a very short walk to times square, empire state and Rockefeller center. Wifi was expensive but had a 4g 3 (uk) sim so had as much data as I needed. It was very cold while we were...

My husband and I went to NYC with another couple to celebrate the husbands' birthdays. Our friends selected the hotel and we didn't know what to expect. The hotel was an older property and had some scaffolding outside over the entry. The lobby is small, but has well appointed seating areas. The elevators are narrow and a little slow. The...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the new year for 5 nights. Loved it! Lon our arrival the member of staff greeted us warmly, and was very helpful. I had "chatted" with them the day before to confirm our reservation. We were on the 11th floor, room very spacious and a view of the Empire State Building just opposite...

Loved this hotel, great location walking distance to most things, clean, corridors a little smelly probably as some rooms allow smoking but nothing major, beautiful reception/entrance, air con, rooms very warm heating on almost too much-good complaint. Doing some renovations out front at the moment!

Nice place & pretty close to everything. There's muffins & coffee for a quick complimentary breakfast. Comfy beds & really quiet rooms too. Maybe request a room near the top, so you can get the best view possible.

We stayed at the Wolcott Hotel for 5 nights. Rooms clean and service at the front counter friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and close to everything central (Empire State building/not far Times Square etc). As other reviewers noted, we found the rooms way too hot which made it hard to sometimes sleep-not great ventilation as...

The Wolcott was first of all economical for us. And then then secondly, our room was spacious, and actually two rooms with three beds: such a rarity in NYC. Thirdly, we enjoyed the history surrounding the hotel, and the little museum they offered with highlights. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating and kind. I came down too...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
